SATURDAY MARCH 3:

Martha and I arrived to Daytona Beach around noon time. We went to have lunch and half hour later, Harry, Michelle, Dave & Helen show up. The rain and cold started around 4:30 pm........At 7:30 pm arrived to the hotel: Harry (unbalanced) & Michelle, Dave (gettinold) & Helen, Gary (usa_eagle) & Patty, Rhino & wife, Ken (hogbreath) & wife, A.J., Carl (hubbard), Brian (squarrel24) & Brenda and my son Daniel who is studying at UNF in JAX. All of us went to have dinner (except Carl). Hogasm arrived to the restaurant a few minutes later. We had a fantastic time.....

Next day, Sunday all the people mentioned above except Hogasm plus Joe (sponserv) and his girl friend went to Gainsville for AHDRA racing and for a ride (270 miles in total) in back roads of Central Florida. We had an excellent day...the weather was so beautiful!! open skys, a little bit cool for Florida people but was ok. That night we went for dinner again the most of us.......

On Monday, Martha and I went to Ocean Center, Main Street and came back to home at evening....

I am posting some pics about Sunday ride and I invite Rhino, Helen, AJ who took a bunch of pics to post them here.....

AJ(Hard 10) just gave me a call an said he is and has been having a blast with all the Great People from this site!
That sure was great to hear and he was saying what a Zoo it was too down there!!
Abby and I are all packed up and ready to hit the road tomorrow AM.

Augh shucks. So sorry that Jamey is swamped at his work. His cousin was just begging us to come down. Told us to leave the bikes and just come down and he'd show us to really do DBBW right -------------- but I can see that we'd be kicking ourselves all over if we could not have ridden with every one. So glad you are all getting together and having a real good time riding. DBBW is such a zoo, but when you get away from the heavy activity, there is some fun riding. To have your own personal tour guide too. priceless. Keep those pics a coming, we are sure enjoying them.

Which head pipes are you running on your bike? If you're running the V&H's, what did they do about the rear sensor clearance issue???

I had to ride over to a weldng shop and weld a new bung in the exhaust. You're 100% right. The V&H pipes have to be modified. I could have easily welded the bung in at my shop here, but I was 800 miles away.

Thanks for that info....I was wunderin about that issue. I thought maybe they just did the screw in a bolt, heat up the pipe and bend the bung up a little bit trick, but you had to have a new bung welded in...hope the welders did a nice job...did they put the new bung in the same place only angled differently, or weld one in an entirely new spot?

Actuallythey had the bung welded in at a different place. V&H's bung is back about 4" from the head. Zippers tells me it needs to be as close as possible to the head. Now it's about 1-1/2" away. Welder wasn't that good actually. I heard his mig welder spitting and sputtering. BUT, he dressed it back up nicely. Only way to see it, is lay on your head and look up under the engine, so, I'm not worried. I do have to say, I love the auto-tune feature!

Do they talk PO-DUNK-IAN in Podunk, MI ?? From the day I wuz born,, I would be up on Morrison Lake every weekend in the summers. My Grandfather had a cottage there,, and when I got older,, I would spend a couple weeks there in the summers boating alllll over the chain of lakes. The SHERIFF's PATROL ((in there boats)) were always on the lookout for me,, and would escort me back home,, for SPEEDING thru the channels. So I guess you know Craig -- Morrison -- Randall -- Cemetary-- and North Lakes well also??? Maybe I went from Speeding on water,, and moved to asphalt.
Speaking of speeding,, Patty could NOT believe to Top Fuel Bikes at Gainesville. We watched the first bikes turning in 140+ MPH's,,, but when Top Fuelies started,, and the guy went 223 MPH,,, she was at AWE !!!
Bike Week is about over,, so we ~SNOWBIRDS~ down here in the Sunshine State,, can try to get back to OUR regular schedules!!! The SQUIRREL headed back north around 4PM,, after we took a 50 mile ride thru the back roads. I even got to ride the ~*~

~*~ ,, while he was here!!! That is ALL I will say,,, because I dont want to get ~JR~ goin!!!! "jk" JR !!!

Thought I would post this here also.

Arrived home safe and sound today. Wow what can I say about our trip to Daytona. What an awesome group of people that we had the opportunity to meet and ride with!! All of them first class people that would do anything within their power for you. Brenda is just amazed at how well all of us got along together just from being a member of this site. Thank you all for making her first CVO meeting and Bikeweek event unforgettable. I must call out a few of you for the special things. I don' t really know where or who to start with so their is no order here.
Harry & michele thank you for the guided tours and setting up the appointment at Scooters to get the bungs welded to Brenda's pumpkin.

AJ you where an awesome roommate at the Huddle House and a real blast to be with. Next time I will come out and talk to you while you sleep. Thank You for the gift (a California duster).

Dave & Helen nice to see you two again. Thanks for taking the time arranging the ride to Gainesville. Nice to see Helen ride the V rod to Crystal River.

George & Martha It was a pleasure to see you again and meet Martha and your son Daniel. Thank him for getting us all in at the roadhouse for dinner.

Brian& Kathy nice to ride with you guys again. Evil Knievel better look out if you get that clutch fixed.

Ken& Cheri It was great to meet and spend the day at Destination Daytona with you. Brenda had a blast with Cheri shopping.

Hubbard glad I got to meet you and see ol maudie in action. What a sight.

Joe good to see you again and meet your friend. The lady at the connivance store said you could bring in some signed posters next time. Also I didn't tell you Brenda is a Jr fan.

Ron it was a pleasure to meet you and Noel. You have a great eye for a picture.

Phil Brenda and I had a good time talking to you at the Zippers tent while they worked on our . Hope you are happy with the new pipes and auto tune. Next time we will have to get together and ride them.

Brian Nice to have met you at Crysal river H-d.

Gary& Patty I would especially like to thank you for taking us in and opening up your home ( The Huddle House) to us. What wonderful people these two are if you have met them you know what I am talking about. They remodeled a room just for us to come and stay.We felt like we were at home all week. Gary when you come back north let me know I have some work for you at my house. Thank you so very much.

If I have forgotten anybody I am sorry we had so much fun riding and meeting so many people from here old and new that I am still kind of tired from the week and the drive home it will take me a day or two to get back to normal life. I will try to post some of our pictures but as you can see AJ is the real picture poster.

Since my Bungalow down here is now known as ~THE HUDDLE HOUSE~ ((thanx AJ)) , I do have plenty of room up north. This house is about the size of my Garage up north.

Thanks for the brake check it was probably one of my cousins.

I have been talking to Brenda about logging in but it is hard for her to find time with working midnights and A son in college and a daughter a Senior in high school playing sports. Doesn't leave much time for anything else.

We will have to arrange a meet sometime before hot springs. When Gary and patty get back to Ohio maybe we can all meet somewhere in between.

Ya did happen to notice the new patch I got at Destination Daytona?? (Normal People Scare Me???)... But, seriously, WHO would spend that much money on a bike and THEN ADD stuff??? Chrome...Racing Tuners...Autotuners?? (yeah..Hogbreath thinks I'm blinded by the chrome to not notice these "asjustments"??) Then again...I LIKES shiney stuffs!!

Was like a family reunion!! (we'll except fun if yer family isn't...uuuhhh... nevermind!) Was truly a pleasure and we're very much lookin forward to the next CVO (and BSR) meet up!! Would LOVE to plan a meet up with ya'll and the huddle house owners!! Spring is just about BEGGIN me to retire (yea so we're jealous Gary... should be one of the perks of owning a CVO

Bungs are welded into Pipes to hold sensors for auto tune thingy. Ken got 1 new Bung on his bike.

Yeah,,, what SQRRL said,, when Patty and I get back up north, we will have to get a get-together somewhere. We will be leaving the ~Sunshine State~ in about 5 weeks,, so I am hoping it is warm up north by then. If you plan a road trip up to the Tri-State area,, I have PLENTY of room in my "NORTERN HUDDLE HOUSE" fer ya to stay. I do see your going to be a stones throw away we we head down to Hot Springs.
We will figure something out when Spring arrives,, just stay warm up there until it gets here.

we are having gorgeous weather here!! It was WAY colder in Daytona (grumbling) Ken was on the bike all weekend! (I was re-establishing the homestead after the trip!) Am counting on you and Patty and Bryan and Brenda for a trip soon! It's much more fun when ya got a pack of CVO's, love to watch those eagles soar! Spring is here and the road is a callin'!

Road Trip Cheri/BSR...have cooler will travel!!
