Started off with a mist on Friday at 4pm that quickly dissipated.  We took the interstate for a couple of hundred miles stopping for the night in Newburgh...ate dinner at the Stewart Airport Diner which I WOULD NOT recommend...Service was not up to par and the food was so so.

The next morning we woke up and hit the road by 7:30.  The first thirty minutes on Interstate then down Rt. 209 through the Delaware Water Gap.  At the end of the Gap we stopped at Schock's HD for our friends...it was a repeat for us.  From there we went to Pottsville, PA and the Yuengling Brewery, America's Oldest Brewery.  Thirty years ago I took the tour there and really wanted to do it again...it was fun especially since they reopened the cave.  The Brewery:

From there we continued south through Reading...and two Harley Dealers of course, down to Lancaster county...planning the route out with the GPS allowed me to include a couple of Covered Bridges off the beaten path.

Dinner Saturday Afternoon...tons of good food...nothing spectacular but nothing really canned jarred or frozen either so I would give it a solid 6.5 out of 10.

Then we rode through Valley forge NP and stayed the night in New Hope, PA.  We got there just in time to avoid a serious line of Thunderstorms.

The next morning we rode north up Rt. 202 into NJ then NY and over the Bear Mt. Bridge crossing the hudson river...this is a nice riding road in the area.  Stopped on the other side for a pic of the river.

Frome there we made our way into CT where we were going to stop at the Red Dog Saloon for a  :drink: but they were not open yet so we stopped at a few other bars along the way including the Bach Dor in Chaplin...Divey but a true and popular Biker Bar...

Wish I had better pics...the Del Water Gap is a nice 30 mile run...and if you get off the straight major 2-lanes in Lancaster County they do wind around the rivers and farms...not hilly but windy at times.
