We had to notch out a little room for the ballast to be mounted onto the fairing (the last place I had room).

In a few hours we'll finish the wiring and put it all back together for my ride home. It's been a great weekend!

AJ; got oil pressure again?

I only rode it across the front lawn to the basement. I never looked. Derby cover came off and oil did NOT come gushing out as expected. We added just shy of a quart to the crank case and a dollop to the inner. Chuck pulled both plugs and they were whitish in color. He's thinking I'm just burning some oil because the rings may have not seated properly after the last gasket install. One way or another I'll find out on the ride home this afternoon. Bad part about it is there are no HD shops open on Sunday along my route.

Youch, that's a bit of an extra pucker factor built in to the ride home.  Just a quart low shouldn't kill oil pressure like you described either.  Be careful man.  Safe trip and I'll have good thoughts flying southeast.

Thanks Brother! If I don't get some shut eye here, I may never get to leave tomorrow. Chuck has reveille at 0700. Lights out.

...... This first picture is for Gary. Chuck titled it "Don't be afraid of the Dremel"
Not particularly the dremel I'm scared of..... it's the "dremel in my hand on while working on my bike" that scares me. ;D

I don't blame you. I don't see how you could have been around when he was drilling into the saddlebags. :nervous:

They're off. Had a great visit. Now they've got 300 miles to do tonight. AJ was downstairs in the basement at 0730 this morning. He's one tired puppy right now.
