The guy in the back from So. Cal that rides really well is Doug R. - CVO Rider
(I'm the one who bailed out at Freedom Cycles because of other commitments, called a wife).

Just a UV filter on a Canon D20 using a 28-105 zoom most of the time.  Here is a link to her website http://photoeyeview.com/v-web/gallery/0509sierras where she just uploaded a bunch of photos from the Alabama Hills and on the road up to Mt Whitney.  We didn't make it all the way to the top because of rain.  Some of these photos are just plain outstanding, but then I may be biased.
