Duke,

I see that you made it to Santa Rosalia.  Nice little oasis, isn't it?  Does this look familiar?  Oh, and definitely stop in Loreto, it's a great town.

Posting this for Duke...

Hi all

We made it to San Ignacio last night in light rain. Left this morning in rain and had intermittent showers all the way to Santa Rosalia on the coast. The rain slowed us down enough that we decided to stay in Loreto for the night rather than ride back into the rain at night to try to get to La Paz . The scenery here is incredible, lots of twisties through the mountains and the road along the coast is absolutely breathtaking. Unfortunately there as very few places to pull off the highway so all my pictures will be one handed point and click. We will try for Cabo tomorrow unless it’s raining inland again then we will probably stop in La Paz . I hope to catch up with Steve, (I can’t remember his name from the CVO board) who is living in La Paz .

The trip has been great with no problems along the way.  We are staying at a beautiful beach front hotel with great security, locked gates, guard, and they let us park right outside our door.

Another post for Duke since he can't access the site from where he is

We spent the night in Lareto  2 days ago where we found a great hotel on the beach with great security for the bikes.
I have been in contact with Steve from La Paz (from cvoharley) and he hooked us up with a fabulous hotel "Fiesta Inn" at a great discounted price . The Hotel and marina are all owned by his boss as well as the 140' yacht Steve works on. Steve met us at the edge of town and led us to the hotel. He took us and his girl friend out for drinks and dinner last night. You have to love the cvoharley site when you can connect with locals who go out of their way to help you out in a strange country. A big thank you to Steve for all his help. Steve and the ship's captain (another cvo owner) will meet us in a little while and lead us 1/2 way to Cabo. The trip has been amazing with a variety of beautiful terrain. We have been in deserts, and some fantastic mountain ranges with twisties galore. The ride along the Pacific and the Sea of Cortes are not to be believed. When I get to Cabo and get a little orgainized I'll have Ernie post some pictures for me. We will spend 2 or 3 days in Cabo and then head back.

Well, he's either been up all night or he's left the tracker on all night.  Looks like he may be headed back north this morning. :nixweiss:
