Give us the code so we can follow.

I got a late start today but did make it to Valencia. We should be south of the border late tomorrow morning. I have been watching the road reports for Baja and it seems heavy rains washed out some roads and bridges south of Ensenada. They have bulldozed some detours and traffic is moving but can only imagine trying to ride my bike with bushtec in tow through creeks, rivers, ruts and mud. I think it is going to be a very interesting trip.
After I stopped tonight I logged onto the spot map and discovered that spot was not following me. The only thing on the map is when I hit the I'm ok button. I'm a little disappointed and am trying to figure out what, if anything I am doing wrong. I'm going to change the batteries the first thing in the morning and see if that helps. It did work Ok the first couple days I tested it.

Looks like Duke knows some cool shortcuts across the water between marks 42 and 43  :huepfenlol2: :huepfenlol2:

This is great being able to track their trip :2vrolijk_21: All we need now is Ride Report

Day 2
We left Santa Clarita around 8:30 and stopped before the border, got gas, changed money, bought Mexican insurance, had lunch and crossed the border around noon. Everything went well until we crossed the border, in all the confusion and traffic we somehow bypassed immigrations and could not find our way back to check in at the border. Oh well we said screw it and Fred led me through all the back streets of Tijuana until we finally found the freeway 15 miles later. We wandered around Ensenada until we found a very nice hotel & casino. The Hotel San Nicolas is very nice and clean. They locked our bikes up in a cage with a 24 hour guard. We will try to go to immigrations here in Ensenada tomorrow morning but we heard a rumor it is a Mexican holiday so we may have to lay over another night and catch them on Tuesday.
I got some pictures of the road damage between Ensenada and El Rosario from last weeks storm from another traveler.
