Thanks Chip.  I forgot to tell you......most of you probably don't know that Terrie broke her wrist.  You'll have to ask her how that happened but I'm sure she'll say I had something to do with it. :huepfenlol2:  Anyway, that's why she's riding with me......it's not by choice, she hates riding behind me now that she's mastered her own bike.

One of the cattle ranches.  That's all that's back here, cattle ranches.  We were surprised at how many of them are for sale.

I think everybody on this forum would have enjoyed this ride.  What's your plans for Easter weekend?

Got one of Terrie on her throne.  That new front wheel and chrome caliper is a little blinding when it's cleaned up. :o

And we finally make it to the famous Parkfield bridge.  On one end of the bridge is a sign talking about enterin the North America Plate.

No harm meant, I just have been doing a due diligence on grape growing, contract rates water rights all that fun stuff....You know for when I retire and go back to  Cali...

Just funnin with you Mike.  I don't think Don is the father of all em. :huepfenlol2:  And as you know, there are many grapes and wineries along the coastal range.  These pics here are more inland.

So the story goes......the east end concrete footings and the west end concrete footings have moved a total of 5' in opposite directions since this bridge was built back in the 40s.  The brige actually straddles the San Andreas fault. 

They have a photo at the cafe that shows fresh jeep tracks going across the dry section of the creek and the tracks are several inches offset, after an earthquake.
