Terrie and Susan were meeting to leave for Pala at 5:00 a.m. this morning and so Jon and I decided to do a day ride to Yosemite National Park.  We then invited a few members that weren't going to the So Cal GTG.

We left Sacramento at 4:15 to get to Lathrop by 5:00 a.m.  We all topped off then headed to Denny's for breakfast.

It was Terrie and I, Jon & Susan, Bill & Cathry, Don and Chuck.

Terrie and Susan headed south on I-5

The rest of us headed southwest towards Oakhurst.  Taking back roads through Snelling, Hornitas, Mariposa, etc. 

This picture was at an intersection just after I'd hit a bird and squirrel at the same time.  In the lead, I knew I hit the bird but everybody behind me told me that a squirrell came out of the fields and ran across the road right into my path.  I didn't even feel that but felt the bird hit the leg fairing.....one is weird enough but two animals at the same time.

Hwy. 49......another break after riding another couple of hours.

We rode straight to Glacier Point.  Met a group of riders from Germany.

And as expected, the waterfalls were all flowing in full force.  One of the lady park rangers said they're flowing tree times their normal waterfall.

Another waterfall across the valley.  This is the one that they used to push the fireball off of at night time.....thrity years ago.

Half Dome......very close at this point.

Yep......sittin in the snow.  And I wore a t-shirt all day.
