Right about now I am thinking that energy problems could be solved by this one state at least for them.

Need electrical power – More windmills

Need more fuel – More pumps

They got both of them…no wonder they seek to remove themselves from the USA.

Speaking of leaving I now return to the Land of Enchantment – New Mexico.  Last time I was here in a different area I came across this event.

 



Why you ask…



Frigging WIND!! And plenty of it…

Well they should change the state’s tag line from Land of Enchantment to Land of OH MY GOD PLEASE LET ME LIVE IF I TRAVEL THROUGH THIS STATE.

At this point I am far North of last year’s location but looky looky…

I thought these windmills were going to fly out of the ground with all of the turbulence they were producing.

By the way for additional comfort, they North end of the state has the same level of security issues as the South.

Now if you do not like the proposed tag line here is another…New Mexico – Land of No Neighbors.  Don’t get me wrong it may be nice to relieve yourself in the comfort of your back yard with no one looking.  Perhaps this is taking it to the extreme?

 



Perhaps another way to look at it would be that you would not have neighbors knocking on the door frequently to use your tools.

Needless to say my day was filled with “blowing” and that was tough…I feel at home and my band came of the radio.

I finally arrived to I-25 where I was greeted with some civilization in New Mexico.



I only had a few miles on this road in New Mexico and saw a sign that stated “Scenic Overlook”.  I was thrilled to think I would see something special in this state…But it turned out to be in Colorado.

Suddenly I was experiencing blowing winds that had be place the motorcycle at what I thought was a 20° angle…

Did you run out of GAS?? Again??

And ride into those mountains far away…



I am just thankful to have made it through Hell and Back Again…Another great day…over 700 miles and the coming days will be more fun.

Jock and I tried to trade tour packs before he did his deal on the new bike. I wanted his rear speakers....but the dealer saw how his bike was set up and would not allow any changes
