Dakota Digital has some neat stuff, but a FLHTCUSE4 would be better?

I had one of them Speadway tachs on my old bike - it was quick to install, worked perfectly and was small enough to not imprint on the clean look I was after = great little product that is well supported by its creator. Mine was chrome, and I stuck it to my break reservoir cover - I went thru all my foto's of that bike, unfortunately it is not in any of them. I would recommend it any day!

Neil, I know you will but let us know that you think, and pic's. I'm thinking about getting one, but working on other things and procrastinating on this.

I was going to install it on my RK Custom, has that little deflector on it just in front of the handlebars. I was going to mount between the deflector, and the handlebars. The run it down with the throttle cables and back, you should have a open pin on the ECU for the tach, can't remember which one, don't have my shop manual handy. You might be able to see the area I'm talking about from this pic.

the SERK had a tach on the riser cover so i plan to use those wires in the nacell

Do you really need to ask yourself that question?

Not fun, and the more you add the less fun it is. Electrical shops have a special grease they use to pull wires through conduit, might help if you had just a bit of it on the wires. Not sure of the name, but you might check.

Have you ever tried blowing air through the hole with a piece of string? Might work, feed a piece of string into the hole then take a air nozzle attached to your compressor and blow air into the hole without it touching the string. Might be tough with other wires in the way, but might work.

I added the Heat Demons grips after the fact. Wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Don't remember what I used to snake the wire though.

Something I have done in the past though was to use a soft flexible sting and an air nozzle blowing into the bar. Sometimes a vacuum on the other end.

The air stream seems to work better as it helps move the other wires around.
