On the other side of Arlington you will find the United States Marine Corps War Memorial (Iwo Jima Memorial).

Across the side from the Iwo Jima Memorial you will find The United States Air Force Memorial which honors the service of the personnel of the United States Air Force and its heritage organizations.

Thanks a bunch Jock, for posting your visit to the National Museum for the Marine Corps. I didn't even know there was such a thing.

Having served in the Marine Corps in the early 70s (Aviation).....I could relate to a lot of what you posted there. Like my first haircut.....when the barber says "how would you like it cut?" and you've already got a butch haircut two days earlier and reply "just trim it up around the ears".

Yea, right! Those barbers only know one kind of haircut and that's why it only takes them 15 seconds.

Marine Corps....Semper Fi.....Always the first in and the last out!
