Hi everyone!  Im Nate from WA state.  Bought a 2020 CVO Roadglide back in February. I traded my 2017 Roadglide Ultra in because my wife wanted her own bike.  Im pretty happy so far with the CVO with the exception of the oil leaking.

Anyone hear of the 2020 CVO leaking oil? I have taken it to 2 different dealerships and they both say that it has something to do with the "transmission to primary" over flow issue that they supposedly dealt with. I just dont think that thats an acceptable "answer". Here are some pics

Welcome aboard!! If they are telling you it has been "dealt" with then they should clean up the mess and the problem shouldn't reoccur... if it does then I would suggest contacting Harley-Davidson Customer Service 414-343-4056 to open a claim (BTW don't be surprised if CS tries to blow you off.... be calm/polite... be persistent). You may also want to monitor the levels in the transmission/primary fluids... if they are constantly overflowing (which they shouldn't) then it will not be long before they are low/empty. :nervous:

Thanks for the advise Fired00d! I have freshly detailed my bike and am heading out on a 4.5 hour ride tomorrow,  so I'm hoping to NOT see some oil leaking, but there is I will begin the claims process.

Thanks for the welcome everybody!

Is that a drain plug with a messed-up O-ring??

That's what I was thinking too. Ive asked the service tech about it and he seems to think that it is coming from the overflow? I dont know. I would normally do all the oil changes etc but with the lifetime warranty, Im no longer "allowed".

Update:  took my bike in
for the 5k service. Explained to the service tech about the oil leak issue.  When i picked the bike up the next day the service tech told me that he decided to remove the primary cover to hunt for the leak and found that the overflow tube was installed incorrectly. So hopefully that does the trick!   :2vrolijk_21:
