Hi y'all,
I been reading all the posts regarding the SEUC. I currently ride a 96 Ultra w/89k mi. Later today I am going to New Orleans Harley to find out their trade-in offer and finalize my purchase of the '07 SEUC in Red/Black.
Starting to wonder if I should wait for an '08 (if they make one) or check out a 'slightly damaged' '06 SEUC that they just got in (needs paint, windshield & headlight).
This will be my 1st NEW bike, but after reading nearly -everything- here, I wonder if I want to pay $34k for an under-powered problem child??
Anybody want to put in their .02cents?
I also have a '99 FXDWG with 96", 6sp, etc - dyno'd at 101hp. Wife rides a '96 883Hugger. We recently moved to New Orleans area from Wisconsin.

My $0.02 - follow your heart. You can't go wrong then. If you have the bike you want, you will love it and fix any ails that may befall it. Don't worry, be happy, ride and have a whole lotta fun.

:welcome_005: to the site BB. I shouldn't really comment since I am still waiting for my fist CVO, but go with your heart. Most of the guys here are so over the top with modifications, uhhhh, ummmm, :zwtf: am I saying there is no such thing as over the top. The 110 does have it's issues but it is the best beginning that the MoCo has come up with to date. For some it is all they will ever need as long as they replace a few things to make it cooler (that is in temperature not in :cool26:). For others it is a great way to begin a frankensteinian project to make it the most/best. It is purely up to you! I think if we started a poll that most are extremely happy with their CVOs 110 or otherwise.

Welcome to the site.
If the new bike they have is from the late production, I would think the new head gaskets would already be on it and other "unknown" improvements as well that would be running changes to the bike. Mostly in the area of mapping I would iamgine.
While the '07 has had it's share of issues there are a lot of riders that haven't had any as well. If there is an issue you know you'll see it here.
If it were me, I'd go for it. The upgrades in the '07 are worth it over the '06 IMO. The 6 speed, NAV etc.
I had an "01 Ultra that I traded for my '06 and it was/is great to have the new bike with bigger motor and all the goodies.

Welcome,
We're glad you found us. Thanks for sharing the pics of you bikes.
My .02, I would say that a majority of the kinks of been worked out by now, and there is no guaranty that the '08s will be any better.

Welcome and here is my .02, if there is a DEAL on the 06 or 07, go for either one you like best. If no great deal is there to be had, wait for the a couple of months to see what the 08's have to offer. It is not like you don't have a ride and it would be chitty if you make a quick buy now and when the 08's come out you want to kick yourself. Just my .02.

Welcome aboard from NC, as close as we are to the 08's you may want to consider waiting, at least do your home work for now. I was in the same situation last year, and bought an 06 on 15 April, I took possesion of my 07 SERK 5 days after they came out. I couldn't pass on the upgradesfrom 06 to 07. Anyway, follow your heart.

BayouBiker :welcome_005: to CVO Harley.
IMO I'd wait for the 08 or look for a steal of a deal on an 06.
-
Welcome BayouBiker.
Buy the bike you want is my advice.
On the 07 110's - no serious engine probs so far on mine but I am only at 4k miles.

Hi and welcome......If I understand CVO correctly they tend to do models in 2 year runs. I have a 06 CUSE and the 07's make it a 2 year run. I am not saying there won't be a 08 CUSE' but I do have my doubts. Talk to your Harley dealer and find out or some one here will no more on model runs before they change and do a differant model.
And there's my .02

Welcome to the site from VA. Enjoy. I'm guessing there are VERY few folks on here who haven't had a complaint or three with any bike they've purchased. If we were all totally satisfied, this forum would be a bunch smaller.
Go with your gut - but don't make a mistake ;).
Good luck!
