Title: FLHTCUSE4 2009 Max Handlebar Height Without changing cables?
Post by: paul.a.hyson on March 13, 2019, 12:26:13 AM
Howdy y'all BIGDAWG here.  Visited the local HD Dealer, interested in taller bars on my 2009 FLHTCUSE4.  $1,800 - $1,900 for the complete job for new 14" bars.  Couple of questions:
Maximum height I could go to without changing out all the cables?
Is it a DIY job?

I am a Soldier not a CEO and momma may pack my bags if I spend 2 grand on bars. :)

Thanks for any advice.

You can install up to 10" bars on Ultras using the stock wires and lines through 2013. Starting in '14 Harley gave you longer wires and lines to put 12" bars on. I just ordered 10" bars from Wild 1 Monday and yes you can do it yourself. Just don't be in a hurry. The wiring will be your hardest part.
