Arnott Air Ride Suspension
« on: July 27, 2008, 10:46:02 PM »

I bought the Arnott (w/ Aldan Shocks) set-up as part of a group buy on CVO harley and paid my local dealer to install.  He thought the quality of the system was good, but had the following comments regarding what drove up the install cost: (Total cost 820.00)

1. Needed some custom fabrication to mount compressor under battery box on 2008 (supposedly a different plastic battery box on the 2008's)
2. Wanted hardened steel spacers that were polished for between the shocks and bike to come with kit to complete the look -- dealer needed to provide
3. Rear pulley clearance on 2008's has changed a bit, and required different size shims on either side of the bike to achieve fit
4. He did contact Arnott during install, and was complimentary to their responsiveness

I will ride to Sturgis this weekend, and then post my thoughts on the overall ride-ability of the bike with the new kit.

FLHTCUSE3 -- Jeff -- Thanks again for putting this together.
