Went on a ride yesterday with BB, Hogbreath, JR, Ultrafxr to show BB the local sites and I noticed I never used the heel shifter a single time. I only seem to use it when a conscience effort is taken to remember it is there, maybe teaching an old dog a new trick isn't so easy. :nixweiss:

If anyone is looking for extended shifters, check out www.bakercustominc.com.
I ordered the f & r extended ones and now have plenty of room on the floorboards
and the quality is very good. They are as light weight as the factory billet shifters
but the chrome finish is better. The edges are squared off and they just look beefer
than the factory ones. Also ordered the chrome behind shift spacer to replace the
rubber spacer. I highly recommend these products. IMHO

Question for Twolane.......

if you use the toe and heel shifter, does that mean you go both ways?

Interesting, I installed the EZ shift yesterday and this product looks exactly the same but they don't offer a brake extender like EZ. I like their choice of ext choices.

WHY do you need an EZ shifter? I never knew it was hard to shift anyhow. Does your toe get tired after a long day?  ;D Maybe you guys need an automatic transmission?  ;D

For me the benefit is to get the heel shifter back off the footboard. I'm accustomed to having an open footboard without a heel shift on.

I have the EZ shifter also...but only did the front. Good stuff...like the brake more then the shifter.

No my toe does not get tired, but I never liked riding to work with shift marks
on top of my left shoe.   And sure an auotmatic would be nice, but would
probably take away HP. And I believe REVLOC already makes an automatic
clutch.

Sounds like you need a Pingel shifter.

I like to do my own shifting, but I also wish I could shift that fast.

Never thought I was a heel shifter Mark, but I stomped on the rear of the left footboard on Elvis 50 times if I did it once.
