2015 CVO Limited Tank Emblem (Badge)
« on: August 22, 2015, 05:26:53 AM »

Noticed the other day whilst riding that the left hand Tank Emblem had a gap between Tank and Emblem. It has come unstuck the last inch closest to the rider. Called in to the dealer today and they said they had seen it before and it would be covered under warranty. Just have to wait a month for the part to be sent from the States to Australia.

This was prevalent on the 2012 cuse7s but haven't heard about it in quite a while.  Had both mine replaced twice.

And just to throw a little curve there, the tank badges are plastic at least back to 2013 on the CVO ultra (replaced three times) and still plastic on my 2015 CVO Limited (not had to replace yet). The cheaper bikes still have metal emblem or the Badging is painted. :nixweiss:

My 2015 RGU badge came loose on the left side. When the seam of my jeans hung it ripped completely off.  Yes the badge is sheet metal cover with plastic filler underneath so there is two glue seams that can come loose.  Dealer replaced it with no issues but it did take a week for them to order it.  Toyed with replacing both with the screaming eagle head available online.  Maybe if another comes off.

On my 14, mine came with a black plastic emblem on the clutch side and a chrome metal emblem on the cam side.  Black one replaced because it was wrong and the cam side one replaced because it came loose as stated.  They are a curved emblem and not flat out of the box.  I think about $100 per side.

I have the same problem.  The emblem on the rider's right side is lifting off the base in the front.  Another warranty issue.
