been riding my 2010 S.G., with the new up grades,... feels like a new bike, ended up 130/130, ....to the rear wheel 122/122, ...it has a woods 400 cam, deweys heads, smith pushrods 10/5 hd pistons ,tts tuner, d/d zilla fatcat, and tuned by jd, can't keep up with my busa, lol,but its nice ride :bananarock:
-
check out the website at hendrick motorsport of u tube videos of their bagger from hendrick motorsport spanking hyabusa's in thr qtr mile!!!!
we love those 400-6 cams dont we!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! how does it sound!
-
Tim did you mean Hemrick Performance? He has some cool YouTube videos spanking the sportbikes.

Nice result. Good job,
Glad you took the time and effort to see this great tuner and follow his lead on the pipe etc.
Feel free to fax (253-344-1189) or email me the dyno and I will post it. I would not expect that 400 to be too much noisier than stock with the corrected geometry and the way I set the springs up. Dave confirmed that when we spoke.
-
oops yes i had the wrong name, sorry :nixweiss:

I was unaware a dyno for motor cycles could get info from something other than rolling the rear wheel, please enlighten me.
Maybe I don't know what you meant to say.

hey dewey ,get jd to forward the results, and post them ,.... yea them woods 400 cams are nice, everything came togather nice , i had some good people , that put everything in order, thanks to all......HAPPY NEW YEAR, NOW I'M OFF TO FL. :drink:

Thanks

Too Bad ...... It wont be long,,, and you will :P

Get an early start,,,,, go check your run out :P
-
what'n all is involed when checking the run out
-
you trying to voodoo me,....my wrench says it was one thousand run out 300 miles ago, and not to worry , >:(
-
Just saying' it just seems these newer cranks (06 up) dont hold up to big horsepower... Lots of reports on this board and many others discussing this issue. With your numbers definitely should have welded and plugged the crank. Curious, are you running gear drive cams?
-
CHAIN DRIVE CAMS , THE MOTOR WASN'T OUT OF THE BIKE JUST HEADS CAMS AND OTHER GOODIES, WASN'T TAKING THE MOTOR OUT FOR THAT, I'LL CROSS THAT BRIDGE LATER IF I NEED TO

That's exactly why I sent my crank out!!! Balanced, welded and timken upgrade. No worries!!!
-
Gee wizz leave the guy alone. He is an adult and was well aware of the crank issue before he did the build. It has already been well documented and leave it at that. He is enjoying the ride let it be.
-
yeah! what he said!
-
This is the dyno.
Good job to the dealer wrench and Dave at JDs
-
yea thats me , i got 2k miles on the build now, been in Fl. blasting around, been running good :bananarock:

I'm confused (not uncommon). How'd you get the 130/130 dyno number at the crank if the engine was never out of the bike?
-
Its usually done by calculation.
very nice build laylonor :2vrolijk_21:
here is some reading on dyno's, I forget most of the story but this explains a little.

He is probably refering to actual numbers, and the SAE was 122/122.
IF the powerplant was on a engine dyno, then expect to see approx. 15% or more, as the driveline gobbles up that much.

Seriously............. after looking at the outcome of this build and many others, what would / could be better than this configuration for a new 110? Is there a down side to this build?
Thanks, Rick

Somebody please tell me Charlie Sheen hasn't purchased a CVO.... :nervous:
Just kidding!!!! :huepfenjump3: :huepfenjump3:

WINNING...
I like the idea that I kept mine a 110, so when people ask, I say it's a 110, see the badging... 8)
-
What are the threshold numbers for doing a crankcase improvement?

Sorry, I'm not getting it???
I'm getting ready to do mine and this looks like a very good all around package to me.
-
There really is no hard fast rule of thumb. Some go without cause and others that are beat on last and cause no issues.
Considering the level of the build I would consider weld and true of the crank. Timkens would not be required as the latest roller bearings seem to be holding well but would not hurt either.

Charlie has been calling himself the "Warlock" lately....
When I saw Mr. Warlock.....bad joke....nevermind.... :oops: ::)
-
The only downside to this build? was a question asked?? REAR TIRE LIFE!!!!!!! im finding that out now

Ahhhh, I haven't been reading or listening to any of his crap so I didn't get it......... lol, that's fine.
So, does this build want the Zilla pipe (which is what I see listed) or the regular Fat Cat pipe? Most of what I have read is that for a stock bore 110 the regular Fat Cat is what works the best????

I can live with that, lol............ as long as the wife hangs on tighter I'm all set. :huepfenlol2:

Those are some really nice dyno curves without flat spot or dips along with good top numbers. I would guess the other downside would be the cost but who's counting dollars here? :huepfenlol2:
