Title: Stumbled on my 2002 FXDWG3
Post by: Dennis-FXDWG3 on September 21, 2004, 11:03:17 PM
Just purchased my used 2002 FXDWG3 from my local HD dealer on Monday (9/13/04).  Paid $16,450.00 (plus tax and license).  I LOVE the bike and based on my research I've been doing on the web this past week (this website included) I think I'm not alone.  I have one question though.  Where does the name SWITCHBLADE come from?

Love the site!  Will be returning often.

Dennis

p.s.  HELLO TO EVERYONE !!

Welcome to the site.

As I recall when that model first came out I was told  that the name deals with the paint job.

Dennis,
Looks like you got a good price.  How many miles?  Have fun on your new bike and get ready for lots of questions.    Smitty

Hey Mike.  Congrats on your find!  I love my 2001!

Now, why do you have an Excile chopper as your avatar?   [smiley=oops.gif]

'tis the direction towards where I am headed with a wrecked SERK  when done  I am not good enough with the art programs to change color and a few other things....kind of the bike I wish H-D would build

St. Paul Harley Davidson/Buell  (Old Hudson Road)

Wasn't even planning on buying from them.  St. Croix Harley Davidson is better known in this area for their fair pricing.  However, with St. Paul's sale during Chromecoming the price was right!

I just picked up my blue 02 FXDWG3 yesterday.  4422 miles  , was on consignement for 19,900 for a few months , the owner dropped the price to 16,900 and I snatched it up asap.  It is a dream to ride!

I know there were 1950 made , 75 to Europe , 10 to the UK . Does anyone know what the production mix was between the black and the blue models??

Thanks to all

jt
