Title: FXR3 Engine Mount Lifecycle question
Post by: Deerhead on November 03, 2015, 03:28:55 PM
How do you know when to replace the engine mounts? FXR3 vibrating more than normal, and I wondered if the engine mounts may need replacing.

I have over 75,000 on my FXR4 with a big motor. I have replace mine once. Just the front one. Don't jack with any adjustments that would throw out the alignment.  Use the Harley brand others are too stiff and you will fell the vibration more.

Thanks. I have not adjusted anything. And I understand about using Harley OEM mounts, but I just wonder 'when' they were made? Any idea of any other models that use the same mounts? Were the latest mounts made in 2000?
