Has anybody received their Two-Tone Light Candy Cherry/Dark Candy Cherry SEEG2 yet. My dealer told me I should see my bike in five weeks. That was over a week ago. I am hoping to see my bike around the third week of October. If you have your Two-Tone Light Candy Cherry/Dark Candy Cherry SEEG2. It would be great to see so more pictures!!
-
My dealer had been telling me "around the end of September, give or take" and they'd been telling me that since I first started speaking with them about the bike.
-
Picked up my Red 2/t SEEG last nite (10/01/04). Road about 150 miles today, It is O.K.
-
Just "o.k."? I got that excited just seeing mine setting there sitting still.
-
O.K. is about the best I can do right now. The seat sucks compared to the Sundowner with Gel Packs on my Road King. The wife does not like the small rear floorboards and to be truthfull I am not very impressed with the smaller front ones. As cool as the windshield looks, the wind buffets my head above 55 and makes my glasses vibrate above 70 which is not cool. The motor is very cool, like it, I intend to put 1K miles on it before I change exhaust, intake etc but it pulls very nicely with 2 up all the way to 100, much stronger than I expected. Trans shifts nice for being new, Bike had 6.9 miles on it when we left the house yesterday, rode it 80 miles and got off and checked stuff, then ran it hard on the way back, so now that is broken in we will see how it goes today.

Hey DW,
The bikes are sold standing still without riding them, fashion with a big motor is not necessarily built for comfort. Glad that your bike performed well. The creature comforts and performance can be individualized and improved. Hope you have many happy miles.

I was at a dealership yesterday and they had a red on the floor for sale. $35500 + tax, license and fees. That would bring it up to about $40K. This dealership was at MSRP last year and the bikes were sold before they were delivered.
Any of you guys paying MSRP or are the bikes marked up like that ?
I have an 04 Blue one and I have to say I still love the bike and cannot think of any other bike I'd rather ride. All the colors look great to me. I still like my blue the best.
Corbin dual tour heated seat, progressive 440 shocks, and the normal performance upgrades and I'm a happy camper.
-
here in Italy it is sold MSRP, for now.
Delivery april 2005

I have a deposit on a Candy Red 05 in Central PA for MSRP. I am going to give it up since I bought a 05 Standard and added the bigger engine and chrome and so on and so on.
If someone wants one for MSRP let me know before I call the dealer and you can have my spot. They are only getting one red and I have that one. No mark up for me just let me know and I will put you in touch with my sales guy.

The HD Dealer in Carey, NC and Albany, GA are selling at MSRP.
-
Well, ostensibly the red one I picked up Monday was at MSRP. And the bike itself was billed as such. But their total of delivery and setup fees came to just over a grand. So it still amounts to a little extra add on. Perhaps not egregious by the standards set by others though. It wasn't something I complained about when making the deal.
-
different dealerships around Northern California charged from $480 to $999 for set up. Some of the places around here are MSRP with low set up fee. Fremont HD where I bought my last 2 bikes are MSRP. but the service sucked. Vallejo HD marks up there bikes and the service sucks.
I only take my bike to the dealership for warranty issues now.
-
Doc's HD of Bonduel has a red one coming in in a week or two. They also have a SE Vrod coming in. Doc's sells for MSRP.
-
Hal's H-D in Milwuakee has one on the floor. I didn't bother to ask what they wanted for it since they usually charge premiums on their bikes.
-
The dealer pays $24699 for a 2005 flhtcse, set up is 120$ and shipping is about $250 depending on where it's going. So the dealrship that is selling for $35000 is making a cool $10,000.

Why did u leave the red SEEG ????? upgrading the standard didn't pay more or less the cost of the SEEG?
I bought a standard for less than MSRP, put the 6 speed trans, 95 engine, 211 cams, ALL the chrome, I have a ONE of a kind and it cost me about $25,000.
-
I HAVE A GOOD FRIEND WHO DID THE SAME THING. OVER THE WINTER HE HAD HIS ELECTRA GLIDE BUILT THE SAME WAY. WELL 2 MONTHS AGO HE PICKED UP ONE OF THE FIRST TEAL SEEG'S . HIS BUILT UP 95 WASN'T EVEN IN THE SAME BALLPARK LET ALONE
THE SAME LEAGUE. YOU SHOULD HAVE SPENT THE EXTRA 5K AND YOU WOULD HAVE HAD SO MUCH MORE, AS WELL AS A MUCH BETTER RUNNING BIKE.

Do you know the name of the dealer in Carey? I was not able to locate one there from the MoCo website dealer search tool.

Although Jock made a slight spelling error (it's actually Cary, NC - no "e"), there's still no dealer in that city. Cary is midway between Raleigh and Durham, so maybe he meant one of these:

1,000 apologies for the error in NC...appearently I misread my notes for a dealer I spoke with regarding another bike.
I trust this did not cause any problems for anyone.
Enjoy... [smiley=blush.gif]

We wanted to pick up the tt cherry, but kept finding them all spoken for. Fimally, when I could not take kicking tires anymore, we got serious. We asked at our local dealer, Colonial HD and they wanted a $1500 premium. We called to our old dealer, East Coast and they wanted the same. We called Fairfax and they wanted the same. We called Orange (Waughs) and they have added $6250 in extras, but will sell the bike for MSRP plus the extras. My husband bought his b/b last year at Colonial because they sold for MSRP - East Coast wanted $5,000 premium, Famous Mikes wanted pretty much the same, so we just started to phone around. We found several bikes available at MSRP, so we just kept shortening the circumfrance on the map to get closer to home. I am just flabbergasted. I am ready willing and able to buy a bike, and going to spend a fortune on upgrades - check the records - we upgrade all our bikes, and they are just willing to let us walk. Oh well. Walk we did. For a two hour drive we saved more than $1500 because we bought the bike at MSRP and had less expensive processing fees at Lynchburg HD. Great people. Real friendly and helpful. My husband kindly volunteered to drive it for me (I whimped out at 34 degrees) and even though he killed a turkey on the way home, the bike is now safely in our garage and we paid MSRP. I wish the shops would think about it. Colonial, East Coast and Fairfax all have an 05 bike on the floor, not sold, entering a new year and they have to pay the taxes on it, all because they are being greedy. Oh well, we love ours. Thats why its still on the dealer floor. We have a local dealer that marks up bike 5,000 to 7,500 over MSRP. They still have an 03 road king for sale for 37,500.

For anyone interested, Hales HD in Mansfield Ohio had one teal and one cherry in stock priced at $500 UNDER MSRP, no freight , no prep, just tax. Also Roeders HD in Monroeville Ohio has a cherry in stock. Price was a bit different. MSRP plus $700 freight and prep but this includes all checkups and services including the 10k with no experation date and a store credit of $500! So in reality its MSRP plus $200 freight and prep with all your services included. This is accurate info as of 12/21. May be sold by now but with all the heavy snow in Ohio lately, I doubt it. I would have purchased the cherry at Roeders but need to move my 04 first and doubt I could do so quickly without giving it away!
Good Luck
Eagle Out!

There is a red one on ebay with seven miles and a take it or leave it price of $30,650.00. It was listed on 12/27 at 7AM and as of right now he has zero bids. It is not a dealer. Seems kinda of scary. $500 under MSRP and no bids @ $30,650.00. Maybe I should have got an Ultra. Not.

I took delivery on my two tone cherry red SEEG2 on January 22, 2005. I put 249 miles on the bike to get it home. I was told to get a 5 by 10 foot trailer from a Harley dealer. When I arrived to pick up my bike the trailer was too small. So I rode it from Albany Oregon back to Seattle Washington. I was lucky that Patricia agreed to drive my truck while pulling the trailer. We both made it back without any real problems. It was tuff keeping the speed down around fifty due to the break in period. When it rained for the last 120 miles I still had a smile on my face because I was on the best bike I have ever ridden. I was soaked but, I felt great.

Congratultions 05Rider. You know you got the best SEEG. Well in my opinion, of course. You are gonna love it. Is your face still frozen in that crazy smile? I know mine is. [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif] [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif] [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif] [smiley=laugh.gif]

05rider, congrats on your new toy! I love that color. I didn't want to look too close to my cousin's Cherry SERoad Glide & he already has the SEEG in Black/Blue so I'm wating for the big bumble bee eglide. Ride safe & far!
-
Welcome 05 and glad you got a couple of miles on during your ride home. I'm loving my cherry but so far have had to contain my glee to the garage. Took delivery the week before Christmas and Ohio's been in the midst of snow, sleet, super cold and everything nasty associated w/ winter since. Only managed to get in 30 miles so far and did that on New Year's day. Winter sucks. Enjoy and be safe and let us know how it's going. Pics are greatly welcomed, especially for those not able to get out.
