Title: NHRA on FS1
Post by: Yellow09SERG on February 25, 2018, 06:41:54 PM
Not sure how many NHRA fans we have around but they are back being broadcast on FS1. Just from what news clips I have seen it looks as though Arizona has been treating the cars well.

Didn't his daughter have a bad wreck last week, and was hospitalized?

Yes, but she is back behind the wheel and appears to be doing  well

Can't imagine the kind of forces a person would feel with an explosion like that

There are lots of Drag Races being broadcast now online. A site, 1320online.com usually has all that are broadcast the upcoming weekend and where you can watch them for free, and NHRA has all-access for $119.95/year so you can avoid FS1 and see ALL the races.

I look at 1320 from time to time. I did see the ad from the NHRA all-access. That really looks like a good deal too. I hope we can make it to a race again this year. We have made Dallas, St Louis, and Topeka. Would really like to make a trip this year to Denver for the Mile High Nationals. We have never been to the track at Denver, but the people that we know that have been, loved the environment of the track

Although this has nothing to do with NHRA, Motormania TV has switched from Livestream.com to YouTube.com this year. I watched the complete 5 day Lights Out 9 on it and it was very good, HD quality and great audio from the tower.
Just wanted to throw this out there.

Not sure if I will ever get used to or like these 4 wide tracks

I like the 4 wide for a change. Don't think I would care for it if it was every race, but is nice a couple times. Never been to an NHRA event cause when they are at Route 66 raceway in Joliet we always have something gong on, hopefully this year we can go.

Not sure how far you would be from Brainerd Minn, but that is a track I have wanted to hit for the last several years.

A little to far, just shy of 500 miles. Route 66 raceway is closer.

Yea, that would end up being a pretty good haul for a race. Wife and I are taking about going Mile High this year and that will be about 500 for us too.

Where in WI are you located? I typically make a trip or 2 up that way every year for work. Generally stay in Appleton, to hard to get a room in GB during ball season

We live in Racine. It's about 20 miles south of Milwaukee. We have friends that live in Appleton and we are up there quite a bit for weekend rides.
