Title: -Hand Guards
Post by: wiliturk on March 04, 2019, 10:10:01 PM
I'm looking for hand guards for my Road Glide. I've got a set of 14" apes and my hands are in the wind. Its cold here and I'm an old pussy, what can I say. Anybody have any experience with them good or bad? I ran a search and did get a few results but there was no info in there.

Heated Gloves or Heated grips might help?   Congrats on the new bike!

Shoot a PM to FLSTFI Dave.  He uses the hand guards on his bikes and could probably help with your questions.  Here's a link to his profile where you can shoot the PM:

I have used mine for like 5 years now. In super cold weather, heated gloves, grips and hand shields are the bomb!

It's amazing how many bugs, rocks and other crap hits the sheiks.

Mine are from Great Bikers parts, color matched in the fastest color! Lol

I fully agree with yellow bird.

I have them on my new 19 and had them on my 18.  Should be pictures in my thread traded for Red Pepper.

Here is what I have.  https://jdcustomsandfabrications.bigcartel.com/product/stainless-steel-coffin-cut-hand-guards (https://jdcustomsandfabrications.bigcartel.com/product/stainless-steel-coffin-cut-hand-guards)

They help, keep lots of bugs and stones off your hands also
