Title: Tank decals and badges
Post by: Doubletap on November 19, 2019, 01:06:09 PM: Hello all. It's been quite a while since I've been on here but I'm glad to see the community is still alive and well.

I have a 2005 FLHTCSE2 that I rebuilt four years ago after a wreck. About a month ago someone stole several parts off the bike so I'm starting another rebuild. One thing I didn't do last time is add any type of tank decal or badge and I really want to do that this time. I love the Screaming Eagle that was on some later model tanks but so far I haven't found anything that fits the 5 gallon tanks. Does anyone have part numbers, leads or a similar experience that would help? I have attached a photo of the decal I'm referring to. I've also seen these as bolt on badges but again, only for the 6 gallon tanks.

Post by: timo482 on November 20, 2019, 04:17:12 PM: i had some parts stolen off my bike is late 78, during work, in the parking lot. night shift, came out and no brakes... so i really feel for you and no, having parts stolen off your bike is something you never forget....

Post by: Doubletap on November 21, 2019, 04:39:41 PM: I've seen several badges on Ebay but all or for '08 and newer models with the 6 gallon tanks and I'm not sure they would fit right on the shorted 5 gallon tank. I'm sure decals would be ok on either size tank but I can't find those.
