2011 CVO Ultra Road Glide.
Advice please.
I changed the front bearings over the Christmas holiday. Due to lock-in I have only just got the bike out on the road. The ABS light is on. I am pretty sure I got the bearing for the abs in the right way around. Before I strip it down to confirm this, is there anything else it could be.

Won't go out until above 3 mph. Could it be that?
-
Thanks for the response Joe.,
No its not that, I have been riding around with the Light on.

check to be sure you have the ABS bearing, if so the white side has to be facing out board toward the sensor....
-
You might just have to loosen it up and reposition the sensor. I had that happen to me after removing the front wheel once.
It would help if you could get the code it is throwing. Mine said something like intermittent signal or something like that. It was a while ago, so memory is shot

Beginning feel I may have the bearing wrong way, I can’t remember clearly, age thing maybe, but a I have in my mind it was red facing out. What colours are on the bearing?
-
I think that the factory ABS bearing is gold.
-
Red facing out is wrong. Happened to me once on a dealer install.
-
Hope this helps if you have not already made the repair

Thanks for your advice gents, I take the wheel off again this weekend to see if the bearing is the wrong way round. I will report back either way.

OP Here.
Thanks' to all for the input. Update is, I had put the bearing adjacent to the ABS sensor in the wrong way around. Turned it around and the ABS light went out.
This is not the first mistake I have made and definitely will not be the last, we live and learn.

Glad you got it fixed and it wasn't something expensive. You are so correct in how we learn. Not often do I know what to do, but I have screwed it up enough times to know what not to do

Good catch. Gotta love it when the fixes are cheap and easy. Now you've added another thing to the "I won't do that again" list. My version of that list is waaayyyyyyyyy long.
