Title: Installed Stage III 117ci on 114
Post by: Spiked Olive on July 27, 2020, 11:45:16 AM
Late to the game and yes there are a lot more powerful packages but we are very happy. Our 114 in the 2017 CVO has been a perfect engine. The only update was Reinhart DBX45 slipon’s. They sound good but there was a slight loss of torque on the low end. Just enough to notice. Fast forward and I was looking to add the torque cam and a tuner. Wanted to stay with HD to keep the ESP coverage in place. In speaking with my dealer they had in stock a Stage III kit for CVO in black granite. They wanted to move it and gave me a nice discount. Enough to more than cover the tuner and the newer 8 lobe oil pump. The bike had 29k miles on it when we did the install. I am very pleased and actually surprised at the nice lope that is much better than expected. Now with a 1000 miles on the kit we are ready to take it in for the 30k service. It has really increased the fun factor and the exhaust went from good to GREAT!

The bike looks completely stock and I have left all the 114 badging in place for my little sleeper.

As long as you're happy with it that's what counts! Not sure why guys pull the trigger for only 3ci tho only way I'm doing it is for 128ci 😎😎

Glad your happy with the results.

My 117 is now a 130.  Still says 117.  Only clue to change is the extreme heavy breather.
