Post by: BigLock on February 07, 2021, 09:32:04 AM: Yep a friend of my now long pass away. Owned a dealership and the second year the V rod was out. He told me that's the motor H-D needs in the touring bikes. He's long gone but he was a master builder of bikes.

Post by: mark on February 08, 2021, 03:11:31 PM: I thought that was a mistake when the V Rod came out...should have taken that motor & reconfigured it for a bagger. Now, Indian has beat HD to the punch with a performance bagger, which seems to be selling well, indicating the demand was always there.
