Was chatting with one of the brethren earlier and this question came up. Seeking a larger data set than just the two of us for any final resolution of the question am posting here also. Site limited to only five options for a poll but, honestly, that seemed plenty to list the obvious options for all time best.
-
Any of the 12 SEEG OR SERG bikes.

That's not a bad data set to choose from either.

Yeah, I did like that one too Dan. Nice looking paint. Maybe the poll only needed on option? Just "all the good red ones."

2004-05 SEEG’s
2009 SERG
That orange and black 09 was sweet. An excellent homage to the first gen SERG's. The orange and black then too was a sweet bike.

Simply has the be the 2009 SERG---all three colors

Truly can't knock the 09s. That was a good year. I'm convinced should be an option. Naitram still only allows five poll options though. He's harsh that way. So edited to the poll to include the 09s.
I still think the 02 Candy Brandy Road Kings are the best though. But it's a tough competition.
-
And, no ^^^, the site doesn't really limit the poll options to five. I just wanted to blame Neal for something.
-
I like them all, mostly. The bikes I own is gender specific. :bananarock:

By far the best but you need to also add the 2005 and 2006 V-Rods.

Dammit Mike. I always forget the V-Rods. I rode TC's when down in Alabama once too. It was a hoot. You're right too, those were sharp bikes. May need to edit the poll whether Naitram likes it or not.....

Got to throw another vote in for the 09SERG. Any color but YELLOW happens to be the best
-
In following the red scheme of things, I'm kind of partial the the '14 CVO Typhoon Maroon/Burgundy Blaze w/ the Phantom Flame combo...outside of that the '18 Silver/Black Fade and now the '21 Bronze Armor trip my trigger
-
I couldn't see the poll choices from my phone using tapatalk. Now that I see them, I still stand by my first reply. ;D
-
13 R/K (I'm kinda partial to the burgundy) or the 09 Skunk

The 2012 CVO Street Glide in all 3 Paint Scheme's, Scorched Orange and Gun Stock was the one I liked most wish I still had it !!!

I think I'll vote for the '09 SERG'S, but orange / black is my fave...👍
-
Another one that never gets any love is the 2012 Maple Metallic. It would probably be my 2nd choice after tbe 09's
-
2012 -orange, black, white or yellow, black & white. I'm partial to the orange. ( sorry JR)

While the Moco has put out a lot of nice CVO paint jobs. The one that set fire to the CVO craze was the 2004 FLHTCSE models. The Moco built 2800 total units in 2 color schemes that went worldwide. 1 week after they were unveiled EVERY UNIT was spoken for. Dealers that had them were marking them up as much as 10K. You couldn't get one unless you had the big cash or you knew someone. And remember this was 18 years ago and the list price of the bike was 28,495.00. I saw them going for as much as 40K. So even though we have witnessed a lot of nice and some not so nice paint schemes. It all goes back to 2004. And also remember the 2004 models were not the first CVO or as they were known back then. The Screamin Eagle Models.
And that is why the 2004-2005 FLHTCSE models are leading in the polls. Us old CVO veterans can still remember back in the day.

Amen Michael. I had a really nice 2000 Road King then. Was a slick bike that I knew I was nowhere near done playing with yet. No way I was getting rid of that bike. I'd always regretted missing out on the 2000 SERG's but they were impossible too. So this Road King was pushed to the nines. No way I was getting rid of that bike. Then I saw the red SEEG. Ooops. Bye bye Road King.

I just saw a really nice RED SERG this weekend. I took a very hard look at it and how far technology has come in the 2021 models. It was a nice looking bike but it did look really old!!!! LOL.

Preach Brotha Preach... and let the church say Amen!!!! ;D
I sold my Fatboy and waited nine months for my O/B SEEG. Had no idea when I fell in love with it that they were making the blue/black first then the orange/black. It was well worth the the wait though.

It was the 04 pumpkin bikes that first got my attention and had me sniffing about the time I got a first glimpse of the red 05s. I was lucky and only had (I think I remember right) five or six week wait for my red one. The Red Bike was awesome. All the SEEGs were awesome; except maybe the green ones. But even they did not suck.
-
I sold my 04 huckleberry to a friend about 5 years ago. I still have a special place in my heart for that bike. I'm glad i can get to see it any time I want. :2vrolijk_21:Stuart👍

I really surprised myself when I sold my 05. That bike was everything I'd want it to be. Good looking machine and strong and really dialed in to me. But I wasn't using it. At that time had just finished building the Road King and used the Road Glide for any trip of any distance. It was, in my mind, too nice a bike not to get used. Sold it to a gentlemen that then had some health issues and I don't think he's hardly used it.

It was a long wait... when I was told they were doing all Black/Blue first then Orange/Black I thought I was getting pranked. Fortunately some of the wait was during the winter when I wouldn't/couldn't ride. During the wait I planned a trip to Sturgis Bike Week with some friends without possessing a bike. :nervous: Was told the bike would be shipped end of June/first of July... luckily bike showed up on time. I broke the bike in, did the first service and off to Sturgis on time.

The thought has occurred to me. Actually with some variation. I've thought about finding some old red SEEG. Not care about mileage. Just one that's not dinged up. Then doing through the process again. Perhaps avoid some redundancies. I enjoy the process. But after the move in 2018 I don't have room for another bike. So, apparently, three red bikes is enough :nixweiss: .

i really liked the 2010 black fade flhtcuse5

Agreed... but would have to add the 2000 Black/Orange Screamin' Eagle Road Glide to the list. The 2000 SERG was what really got me looking/interested in the SE/CVO lineup.

So here's an interesting side story. I was on my 2000 SERG (Orange/White/Black) when in comes the most beautiful Brand New 2004
SEEG (Orange/Black). I went right over and started asking about his bike. I knew right than I had to have one. I actually owned both at the same time for a few years. That guy that rode in on the '04 that day was Fired00d! The only time I ever met him, And before we were members of the CVO Forum.

I remember stopping at a McDonalds on the way to meet the CVO bunch about 10 miles outside of York. I was so cold my hands were shaking uncontrollably. I'm not a fair weather rider by no means. But coming off The Mountain that morning was pretty cold. Yes I still remember that day very well.
We even got to see them building the CVO's by hand back in the old Bomb Factory. What a good time.
I sold Punkin to a good friend last December. Everyone I know flipped out when it did finally happen. I saw him and the bike on July 4th at the Barbara Fritchie Classic. I told him I was have remorse. He said no problem. YOU CAN HAVE HER BACK!!! I'll go find something else. Soooooo it looks like my Girl is coming home soon.

WTH!!! Can't believe you sold Punkin... lucky for you, you can/will get it back. I guess it was easier to sell it with other bikes in the stable... for me mine is a keeper as I know I will not be getting another/anymore motorcycles. Father time and lack of a desire to ride is creeping up on me with my saddle time getting less & less every year.
