Title: Question
Post by: TonyO77 on July 03, 2021, 07:52:42 PM
Anyone ever have an air cleaner that gets hot, maybe it always did it and I just never noticed.
It gets hot , not hot enough to burn you but hot enough that you don’t want to keep your hand on it long,

All of the air cleaners get hot. They are bolted to the throttle body which is bolted to the cylinder heads so the heat is transferred by a direct link to the air cleaners. Also, your crankcase breather bolts are bolted to the inside of the air cleaner so thats another direct link as well as the hot gases from the crankcase.

It was a stupid question I know, you would think after riding this bike for 13 years I would have noticed it before now
