Great Video, Wow You must have had a great day riding Skyline and BlueRidge.

Skyline Drive is a "have to" for motorcyclists...it's fantastic in the fall, but you have to do it during the week, because on weekends, there are waaaaaaaaaaaaay too many cages on the road. :-\ I live about 60 miles away and try to get up there whenever I can...
Cheers :2vrolijk_21:,

Red, since I moved to the Shenendoah Valley, I ridden roads as good if not better than Skyline and best of all, no traffic and no tolls!

Kojak,
You're abosolutely right. ;) There are a lot of anciliary roads that go up and over the Blue Ridge Mtns, and wind along, and they are excellent roads. There are some that when you have the time to look have some great waterfalls off to the side. But I think Skyline is like the Dragon, it's one of those roads you have to do at least once. :)

Some of us rode the Skyline Drive as part of the "Road Candy" tour last year. I had the 03' Trike then and I loved the road and the scenery. Tried to get their with the 07' but got to much going on before the leaves turned. I will make it again soon, because that is one neat trip.
Ride Safe.

I was down that same road in June. Started out at the other end of the Blue Ridge & just continued through the Skyline. Great riding/great scenery.

Could be. The Skyline Drive and the Blue Ridge Parkway are absolutely fantastic, but in reality, there are tons and tons of very nice scenery roads in and around this area. We love to head for the higher elevations once the temps start rising. Makes for many fun destinations.

My wife and I spent several weekends this past summer and fall on the parkway. We covered the entire parkway from Skyline Drive to the Great Smokey Mountain park. Got to be my favorite place to ride. Nice leisurely pace and beautiful scenery.
