Title: 2003 FLHRSEI2  EFI  Map
Post by: TXhobo on January 30, 2004, 12:16:21 PM
I have a 2003 FLHRSEI2. I've installed Vance & Hines slip-on exhaust,  the Screamin Eagle Intake & Breather kit and adjusted the for this set up with my Harley ECM tuner program. I want to install the Screamin Eagle 260 cam ( SE-260 ). Does anyone have this set-up? Do you know what I should tune my ECM to when I've completed this or a copy of a good map. I already have the Cams sitting here on my coffee table, they look great but I didn't buy them for their looks. I don't want to be the first FLHRSEI2 Chitty Chitty Bang Bang either. Thanks for any in put. Joe

TXhobo I don't know what the answer to your question is......I'll let others speak up to that.

I just wanted to welcome you to the board and tell you that there's already some  engine mods posted in the Screamin Eagle Road King forum down below, just in case you haven't got down there yet.

have a dealer dyno tune it for your specific setup

I'm With Naitram, dynotune it. You already have the Race Tuner from what I could gather in your post. Will the valve springs handle the Cam? You will probably need new valve springs...might as well port and polish as long as you have the apart for the new valve springs! ;D

Dealer can dyno tune that bad boy and you should have one hell of a hand full when you open up the throttle on that bike!

what is the lift of those 260 cams?
your valve springs will only accomodate a lift of 570/575.
if the duration is to high, you will most likely lose compression as well.
i also would like to change my cams, but i am still doing my homework.
a couple of members on the forum have had some success changing the cams.
i may try a se-257 cam. it should boost the torque up a bit. these engines already have alot of hp.

Hey txhobo...That cam should not be used w/our motor.  There should be some prior threads on this subject.  570 is about the most the springs heads can handle.  Also, and probably the most important thing is that our heads are the "screamin chicken" line not the "screamin eagle"- high flow ported.  So if you do changle out to a gear driven cam you probably want to do head work......

The stock valve springs will not handle anything larger than an SE 258.  However, the heads are ported the same way as the SE Performance heads.  The chambers are just opened up to lower compression.  In addition, 9 to 1 compression will not work right with the 258 or 260 cam.  (I know by personal experience with the 258.)
