Just learned after snagging the last pair of small diameter foot pegs that my dealer had that the wide rubber band billet style foot pegs and shifter pegs used on our bikes have gone obsolete. The handgrips in that style (used on the FXR4), oddly, are still available. If you need some replacement pieces due to wear, or just want to have a spare set, better grab 'em up while they're still out there on dealer's shelves. :nervous:

50989-99 for the footpegs (pkg. of 2). They look like these: (http://www.harley-davidson.com/media/images/productphotos/PNA/50978_99_M_82de.jpg) only with three wider rubber segements evenly spaced across the peg instead of the 4 narrow rubber bands.
Did they use these on the CVO Wide Glides, too, Greg?

Greg, I can't recall what was used on the Wide Glides, but just to clarify, the part in the photo above IS STILL AVAILABLE. The FXRs use a slightly different version that have 3 wider rubber bands - those are the ones that are now showing as obsolete.

For a single footpeg assembly, that's correct, however you see them in pairs in the P&A catalog and on the shelves at the dealers under the 50989-99 part number I posted earlier. I will check when I go back this weekend to be sure, but no doubt the 49308-99 is obsolete, too.

Hey, that's good news, Greg! They may not be around forever, but at least we know we can still get 'em that way for the time being! Thanks for checking!
