The Fri. night before we left......it got just a little crowded in my garage.

The group that started out from my house.

At the overlook of Lake Don Pedro or was it Lake New Melones or was it........hell, one of the many lakes in the foothills of Central Calif.
-
Yours truely!

Holly on the left and Sonia on the right. These ladies can ride as Jim got to learn on the ride home. lol Sonia also works on her own bike........but she can't cook!

One of the many twisties that we rode this weekend (Priest Grade is the mother or all mothers and extremly steep, too, but no place to pull over to get photos) in the Central Valley foothills.
By the way, three of the SEEGs had just climbed that grade with their low fuel light already on and Sonia's bike on reserve.
-
On top of the world.
-
Just arrived in Yosemite National Park.
Vanamal on the left (everybody else has been named in posts above)
-
loks like you guys had a great time
-
In the woods............
-
From up on top of Glacier Point, looking over the side to Yosemite Valley floor. By the way, this photo was taken with full zoom.......just to put perspective on it. It's a long way up.
-
Another view of the Yosemite Valley floor.
-
and the final photo of the Valley floor.
Was a good ride for the weekend. The ride home was the best part for me........got to open it up and stretch the legs for quite a ways........of course Holly was right on my tail around every curve (she's got 101 inch motor in her bike and she can definately ride it!).
Was a real pleasure meeting Monorat and his friends from Reno (sorry, name totally escapes me right now) and seeing Vanamal again.

What Beautiful Pictures Guys. I'll always remeber the road leaving the park heading toward Neveda. On top the mountian and nothing but a steep road on the side of the mountain all the way to the city below with no guard rail. I was scared the whole way down. When we got below and I looked back up, I still couldn't believe I road down that incline. Don't remeber what road it was but I'am sure one of you guys know....Lost the hard drive that all the picture were on. That when I learned to back things up. Thanks for the memories

If it's the road that hangs on the side of the cliff and has two or three tunnels, that's Hwy. 120........the highway that we left on.

Welcome to my world guys! I guess you have to see it through someone else's eyes to remember how beautiful it is out here. We tend to take it for granted sometimes.
Great ride and pictures.

I must be missing something?
It's 95 degrees here and all you guys were wearing gloves and heavy jackets.
Looks like I better pack more than my Deals Gap and Suck-Bang-Blow t-shirts for Reno.
Straighten me out JC about this issue.

And great pictures Jim and JC!

HD2003,
For every 1,000 feet above sea level the temp goes down 3.3 degrees, Mt. Hoffman is over 10,000 feet. When I was at the top of Yosemite last summer it was 58 degrees and my coat was in Reno. Coooooooooooooooold.

Gorgeous pictures guys. Looked like a heluva lot of fun. Enough to give a guy a bit of an itch [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

Thanks for all of the comments on the pics guys. I have to give most of the credit to my Son. He was hangin off the back of the bike to get a lot of the shots!
It really was a great trip! [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif]
And Chip some of those pics were takin at about 8am. It is still a bit chilly in the valley. The most I had on the whole weekend in a t-shirt, sweetshirt and vest. That was at night or early in the AM. My leathers never came out of the saddle bag.

Watching the weather report you know that we had a "cool" spell here this week. It dropped ten degrees from last week. In the mountains early in the mornings it is a little cool, not cold. My jacket never came out of the saddle bag all weekend and I wear perforated, unlined, shortie gloves all the time. Wasn't really cold (except down in the canyons early in the day) but was a little cool early on.

Great pictures...... and it looks like you all had a blast. Thanks for sharing [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

I'll get back on the saddle soon. I forgot my banana at the dealer for three weeks! I'm picking her up tomorrow.
