I hope this works. I just posted these over on the other site, didn't want to double up on the effort. Just click on the link! Fun fun time had by myself in the short time I was there. Had to get back to the real world. Enjoy!

It would be fun to view those pictures but membership to that site is required to view them.
So no Eureka Springs pictures unless a CVOHarley member post them here.
I plan to post pictures from the Copperhead Lodge Event.

Ok, here's my version with photos.
Barry, Princess, and their friends Hunter and Ben rode up with me Saturday. What a great bunch of guys..AND girls.
-
After riding 90-95 MPH to Poplar Bluff, Ben decided he should double check and make sure he had his driver's license current. After we ran up on the trooper doing 30 MPH under our speed, Ben just didn't find it humorous.
-
A passle of bikes at Bubba's BBQ. The guy was originally from NYC. It just seems wrong that he opened a BBQ pit. A pizza joint maybe..BUT BBQ?? :NXW: I have to admit..It was really good.

Ben and Hunter. Ben was just happy he didn't get a ticket. ;D

The view off the balcony of a local drinking establishment. I'd never hang out in a place like this, so I sent my camera with some of the members that do hang out in low places. I stayed back at the hotel to call my wife.

I can attest to that! Ken was checking in with the wife almost every 30 min. He was setting a very very good example for me and Randy on how to treat our better halfs!!!! ::) ::) ::)

But afterwards, the throttles were cracked, the ceremony was celebrated, a few tears could be seen in a few eyes..
Especially mine, I really have to change that stock exhaust.

Seriously...I was proud to be able to witness the first CVO wedding.

Thought I would throw up a few photos as well. Got back last night and the whole trip went fantastic. Great to meet so many folks I have been communicating with for the past several months. I was impressed with all the scoots but have to give the award for the one I would most love to own next to Larry B's - photo below. The snakeskin seat and forward positioned tour pack were outstanding touches and the bike is just a piece of rolling art!
-
I was soooo impressed with Abynormal's story about learning to ride that she wins my award for Biker of the event! Plus her FXR looks great and has been modded enough to be her own personal ride. Got to add just a minor mod so she now rides with a Buy Early addition. Never travel without chrome zip ties!

For us that couldn't make it this year, thank you ALL for the great pictures. Although they tell the initial tale of the weekend, I'm sure we had to be there to hear "the rest of the story"! (Maybe a book deal would help?) :book2:

Sorry everyone but, I had started a wedding album trhead before I looked here. Our camera was not used quite as much as others since we were pre-occupied but, here are a few pictures we took. Here is a link to the wedding album.
Thank you all so much for making our wedding an extra special moment in our lives. We truly could not have done it without our CVO family and friends.

Wow! Great collection of photos. I just returned home from my adventure. After leaving Eureka Springs, I somehow landed myself at bike week in Myrtle Beach for a few days, and then I shifted to Maggie Valley to meet up with my HOG chapter, with a grand finale ride through the Tail of the Dragon. At the end of this, I'll provide a link to a slideshow of all the pics I took, but first I need to ramble as usual. I had a great time meeting up with everyone and finally getting to put some faces with the names. What a great bunch! As I'm playing a little catch up here, I don't know if anyone explained that I broke down on our Sunday ride and needed a starter for my bike. A special thanks to Bubba for letting me use his SUV and trailer to get my bike to Pig Trail Harley for repairs. I didn't notice any pics of my bike when I dropped it in a ditch, just prior to finding out it wouldn't start. For that I'm appreciative, or is it that nobody thought quickly enough to catch that one on film? I got to spend a night at LarryB's in TN and I'm not sure if he or his wife was the most entertaining of the two, but it certainly was a visit I was looking forward to and I'm happy I finally made it there. Larry, next time I'm bringing the burgers! I shared a room with Ditch, and what a great guy. I hope that you have gotten things straightened out with the storm damages, and it was great that you were able to make it for a few days. I got the chance to see Fuzznuts, Hoist, HDBrad03 and wife Val again, after meeting them in York last month. I suppose I could go on and on about each person, but the overall is that we've got one big happy and friendly family in this forum and I can't wait to get together with everyone again.
As for the photos, I just threw the entire trip into one slideshow, which we'll all find out shortly whether I'm technologically capable of making it work or not. Just to explain what you are seeing, we'll start in LarryB's garage with our bikes, then to Larry's secret stash fridge...then to some shots around the hotel and the wedding, a few shots of the Ozark Mountains and then some shots of the Smoky Mountains...then a few shots from Myrtle Beach...then some shots of my HOG Chapter in Maggie Valley, some street shots of Cherokee, NC. There are a few photos taken showing the woods, and if you look closely, you'll see that I was taking a pic of a bear cub eating berries in the woods at a rest area in NC or TN (I don't even know where I was at the time). Then on to Deal's Gap at the end of the Tail of the Dragon run, and finally some more photos of the Smoky Mountains. Okay, now let's see if this link will actually work.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r65xzFjgnZw
Actually, I think if you just click on this link, it will probably come up with larger pictures going directly to youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r65xzFjgnZw (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r65xzFjgnZw)
-
I think it worked. From looking at it though, I think the bear photos were missing, so here's the best one of those.
-
I have been trying to get my pics off my phone all week and I am sorry to say it looks like my usb hookup is dead. I will try to bluetooth them off when I get time.
I have to repeat what an awesome time it was meeting everyone and want to thank Don again for bringing it all together!!!
One of my sons and my two granddaughters came up from Tulsa to meet my wife and I Sunday for Mothers day (I rode in the am and they did the "Town thing") My two granddaughters (4 & 2) have officially renamed me "PAPA T" so I am going to retire my 15 year old screen name TATATNT as it is easier to explain what PAPA T means. Ask "Starman Dave" about screen name mispronunciations.......lol.
It was really great meeting everyone and if I remember half of everyones two names I will be doing good!!!! Arkansas was wonderful and I am sure I will ride down there more often now!!! Looking forward to meeting more of ya'll soon!!!
Tim

Great slide show Dave! It was great meeting you and I'm sure glad the starter deal worked out so well. Really nice of Bubba to help out like he did but that's what Harley folks are all about...... :2vrolijk_21:
-
Great slide show and report Dave! Looks like you had a great trip overall with one glitch. I think the reason no one posted photos of the bike on its side is no one wants to hurt the bike's feelings. It would be embarassing for the bike and no one would purposely do something that mike hurt a bike's pride. If we had photos of you in an embarassing position, I'm pretty sure they would be plastered all over.
Great to meet you in ES and glad to see you had such a great time! See you down the road.
-
Dave,
Looks like a great trip, thanks for posting.

Thanks to all for posting your pic's so all of us that couldn't make the trip could enjoy the GTG's.

Very Cool Dave,
Hey I wanna go to all those places... ::)
Tail of the Dragon was an incredible ride. I had the same feeling that I get when I have just exited a good roller coaster. Total exhilaration and thoughts of getting right back on and doing it again, but wondering if I could handle it a second time, along with a grin from ear to ear. All of the roads around that area are filled with twisties and after riding the Cherohola Skyway and the Blue Ridge Parkway, I thought the Tail of the Dragon couldn't be much more than what those offered. Tail of the Dragon blew away every turn on those other roads the entire way throught the Dragon. I would highly recommend that every motorcycle enthusiast ride the Dragon at least once in their lifetime. It is truly an incredible experience.

Nuptials complete! A very fine time was had by all! Thanks to John for the running commentary that kept us all laughing through the rain. Picture to follow.

John, whose courage is an inspiration. Came to the ES rally on crutches, three years after losing a dusk confrontation with a deer. He lost, and also lost his leg below the knee. With his new prosthesis, he will soon be back in the saddle, and has his bike waiting in the garage. His courage is surmounted only by his sense of humor. He kept us laughing. CHEERS!
-
Thanks, and yes I'll be back on the eagle soaring with my new friends :orange: I'm going to try to make all the gatherings that I can bring humour with me. I can't wait next time I want be using those crutches chezz!!!!!!!!!1
