Title: D & D Boarzilla pipes
Post by: 09harley on June 11, 2009, 09:14:39 PM
After about a month of research on pipes...Vance and Hines are popular here in Dayton, Ohio and Rinehart are making there way here I have decided to go with D & D Boarzilla for my ride Fxstee 3  Does anybody here any thought on these pipes?

Some say the Boarzilla is better with a larger motor 124 on up. And they are loud but there is a quiet baffle now. Most of the guys with 110's are using the D&D Fat cat. There is info on them here somewhere. The performance baffle is louder than the quiet baffle.

Stay with the Fatcat. As Rooster stated the Borzilla is for larger motors

I went with the bassani 2 into 1 (short)
They deep sound great, don't crack much.
about $1100 with the programer

If you call D&D directly Mr Rash himself will tell you exactly what he told me, " the lowcat exhaust is the only pipe to fit your bike". Point (A) the fxstsse3 sits so low that most pipes, even the stock HD pipes scrape! Point (B) Exiting the rear cylinder, the headpipe must exit directly away from the oil tank,(it is larger due to the finned area) so as to clear, with enough space to properly fit the o2 sensor in behind. This being the reason most pipes will not fit the fxstsse3, or the fxcwc, harley rocker, sharing the same oil tank.  Point (C) the lowcat will provide the best HP #'s for the 110 motor. There are 2 baffle choices, a quieting baffle, a little quieter, or the big bore baffle.
Hope this helps.
