I don't know about everyone else, but I like the wheels, And with a "slammed" front fender you hide some of that. Wonder how this would look with a cut down fender......

Just wondering if any of the new SESG owners are thinking about a fatboy front fender. Anybody have any thoughts on the Street Stalker Fender for the SESG? I've seen pictures of both on other SG's but I've heard it is very hard to match the paint on a CVO :nixweiss:.

The SESG fender is the first time the MoCo has slammed a front fender, to add the custom look. Changing things like that will greatly reduce the value of the CVO. If you're going to do that, you might just want to buy a regular Street Glide and build it up to what you want. :nixweiss:
I'd be really surprised to see anybody change that front fender........to anything else. :nixweiss:

The SERG was marketed with a "slammed" front fender as well. In reality it is a plain heritage fender, no lights or trim, and uses spacers to fill the gap between the mount and the fork leg.
The SESG uses a new, unique fender, trimmed to show more of the 18" wheel, and direct mounts to the fork legs without spacers.

I have no intentions of changing the front fender on my SESG. I like the looks of it and it's a nice contrast to the fender on my 07 SEUC. :2vrolijk_21:

There are at least a dozen different front fender options that have been exercised on the SEEGs. It's just a bolt on change. Someone will do it sooner or later. And having the original fender stored on a shelf in the garage or attic won't reduce or improve the value of the bike. It'll just be another bolt on accessory to sweeten the pot with some day when the bike gets sold.

How would us CUSE owners slam the front fender with out damaging the stock fender ? Or replacing ?

Dont know if anyone makes a bracket to lower the front fender on baggers... (If your intent is to use the OE fender)
You may be better off custom painting a "clean" Heritage or Fatboy fender and then using the spacers used on the FTLRSE3.
So many custom options and it comes down to personal opinion. and choices.

There is a company that makes an "adapter" kit to lower a stock fdr. I was told you can google "Harley dresser lowered fender" and sift thru the stuff and find them, I have not tried.

Probably the Aardvark lowering kit. But using it means removing the original mount brackets from your fenders. Not me. Would rather work up a different fender.

Hit the nail on the head there skreminegul07 which is pretty much where I was going, as well as what was simply stated by Twolane, This could be a pretty easy bolt on change.

Or purchase this from Russ Wernimont Design (RWD) and find a good painter to match it up. Cheaper than buying a SESG this year!

As much as I liked the look of my SERK, a lot more crap and rocks seem to have got by the smaller fender. The motor , oil cooler and voltage regulator were always a mess. I was going to put the smaller fender on my Street Glide, but I like not getting as much spray off the front wheel.

The key difference for the 2010 SESG fender is it is cut higher to allow full view of the wheel, versus the "slammed" look of the SERG that covers a good 1/3 of the wheel.
