Title: Got mine Saturday morning
Post by: Pete on August 17, 2009, 06:12:09 PM
Drove 495 miles so far most on the mountain roads Kancamangus, Mt. Washington area.  Thing is smooooth, and it sure is Blue. I hope everybody is as happy with their color as I am with mine! Stopped at scenic vistas along the way (lots of bikes) CVO was the star everyone came over and checked it out - it was fun sharing the bike with the brotherhood.  Dash at night is really cool, I've never had a radio before - like it more than I expected. As I was was riding my first 50 miles or so I turned on the radio - Frampton "Do you feel like we do" was playing - took it as a good omen. got the ipod hidden and sounds really good.  Catalog is out - you know what that means....
Just how lucky are we!

Good luck with the new bike! Can't wait to see a blue one in person. We are hoping to go up to the Kancamangus, Mt. Washington area this weekend.

Congrats Pete!

What do you mean by the above? (Planned on attaching my iPod to the left bar and running the cord down the bar and behind the fairing either to the back of the radio (HD-Dude-style) or under the Ignition switch cover plate and up on the right side directly into the AUX plug in front).

I can take pictures and no problem load the card into my laptop. Getting the image uploaded to the website is a mystery to me! But I will attempt. Regarding the Ipod. I use a nano and I simply velcro'd it to the right side of the frame at the neck of the bike. About 1/4 of it is actually under the tank where it sits on the rubber grommets. I have made three very large play lists I set the thing on shuffle and forget about it. The benefit of this location is the unit is easily accessable and you do not have to "lock" the ipod controls. Its not a permanent solution granted but it was easy and it was sure cheap!
