Don't regret buying mine at all.  Just had the 1k done on it and it works great.  I had some cosmetic issues, scratches on the inner fairing behind the speedo pod, and water rings under the clear coat on the tank, but those issues were taken care of (inner fairing and tank replaced).  Bike is very comfortable, rides like a dream, and as I'm 6'4" tall, there is a little more wind buffeting than I get on the SESG, but not enough to be unhappy with it.  Love the iPod setup and the new boom audio speakers sound great!   Very happy with my "Silent Gray Fellow".

there was a SE Ultra Classic sitting beside the Glide and  it also had a ring mark on the gas tank and swirl marks on the fairing, the buffering is one thing i am worried about, i get alot of wind on my Electra Glide, but its not turbulent/dirty air my glasses dont shake...i had a 09 Street Glide and could'nt ride over 50 to 55...felt like someone was slapping me up side the head..(wasn't the bride) tried  4 windshields/fork baffle nothing worked..sold it...it's really strange how air flow is diff on bikes with the same fairing :nixweiss:

As tall as I am, I get buffeting to a certain extent on both my SE Street Glide and my SE Road Glide.  But like I said, no eyeglass shaking or head knocking type of buffeting.  I've had both the SESG and SEURG up to over 85 and no problems.  Just a little more on the SEURG.

I was not in the market for a new bike as I was on a 09 Ultra Classic that was a rider 28000 miles in 14 months and thought it could not get any better.  I bought the RGUSE because I feel in love on the showroom floor,   Ivory / Gold and had to have it.   Took the bike in for a 1000-mile service and the “wobble” and was given an 11 Ultra Classic loaner.  Getting on UC  was like a scooter, it is cramped, very unresponsive and the ride is so affected by the wind, I am amazed.  I bought due to color, but now I am a convert, believer and a disciple of the “FUGLY” Shark crowd.  Have had no issues other than the wobble and they will get that resolved.    I too am “VERY HAPPY”

I have an 11 SERG. It is my 10th bike, 6th harley, 3rd Road Glide.  It is ALMOST as smooth as my K120OLT and Gold Wings -- almost.  Add the right size windshield and attach the HD wind deflectors.  You will love it. Of course, don't forget that stage 1 !!!!!

I am 6' 1" and ended up with a Clearview GT Medium and the RGUSE comes with the Harley wind deflectors.

I am 5' 9" and I find the ergonomics of my CVO RG Ultra just fine.  I have almost 3k on it and it is smooth as silk and thankfully I have not experienced the dreaded wobble (and hope I never do!).  Maybe because I am not tall I find the windshield just fine - no buffeting to speak of.  My only concern is that in the summer's heat there is no adjustable wings like on the ultra to direct air flow over the rider.  But hopefully that won't be too big a problem.  The seat is very comfortable for me.  All in all a good job by the moco on this one.  :2vrolijk_21:

I have 3500 miles on mine and haven't had any issues. Do a lot of commuting to work on the highway and no buffeting to speak of. Even at 80 and all the way up to 110

I have 10k+ on my RGUSE. I love my RGUSE. I traded my '07 FLTR. The ride on this RGUSE is twice as good as my '07 if not more.
Regarding buffeting, I'm 6'3" and went to a Clearviews that I got from a friend. It's improves things but it's a motorcycle and I like the wind.
If I want to get rid of the wind altogether, I'll drive my car.

LOVE MY RGUSE!!!

I had some paint issues at the beginning but all taking care of. I love the new bike. I run the stock windshield with the wind deflectors that come with it. 3500mi no issues. I have to admit the my 09 RG handled better, I think it is the weight difference between the two bikes. but the 2011 CVO RG still handles a lot better than my 03 RG. I would make them check the neck baring before you leave, the warranty for the neck baring is only 1000mi. because they are supposed to check them at the 1st service.

I have around 10k on my RGUSE. It doesn't handle as good as my old 2009 RGSE. As far as the handling I was told that a change was made to the triple tree assembly to change the turning radius. Still handles better than the older RGs. As far as wind turbulence goes it's not bad. I have the Clearview small on for the winter and I use the HD Windsplitter in warmer weather.

I've had my share of problems.

Throttle stopped working (had take apart and clean contacts in handlebar)
Steering head bearing tightened (twice)
NIM replaced
Noise in front - rebuilt fork and triple tree assembly (noise came back after 1k. Need to fix again)
Replaced XM and radio antenna
Replacing ignition switch
Replaced right heated grip
Paint peeling on motor
PTT doesn't always work (not fixed yet)
Radio switches mode without touching the mode switch (not fixed yet)
Ipod locks up periodically

It's a pain taking it to the dealer so often but they are very good about fixing it. Overall I like it. The bike has a lot of nice accessories. It just sucks to have to work out all the bugs for the MoCo.

Picked mine up on new years eve, it came in 2 weeks early. I agree that my 2009 SERG handles better than my new 2011 SERGU, And both bikes handle better than my 2008 SEUC. having said that the SEUC is more comfortable to ride long distance than the 2009 SERG. I have not yet had the opportunity to ride the SERGU for a long distance. but I do not think it will be as good. I was hoping to be able to consolidate both the 2008 SEUC and the SERG into the new SERGU but I am not yet convinced. I have C Bailey winshields on the older bikes and like them. I have not changed the new one yet, but have found if I tuck down an inch or two it greatly diminishes. I like the feel of the wind but I do not like the noise on the helmet or the vibration on the glasses especially for the longer trips. Biggest issue so far is the Nav system turns on the helmet mike to give directions even if the CB and Intercom are turned off. It makes it impossible to hear the directions.New pipes go on next week so the real feel will begin then, for now it sounds like im ridding a sewing machine.

I think once you have had a chance to do some long distance riding you will find the seat on the SERGU to be as comfortable or better than your 2008 SEUC. I find that it is no problem riding tank to tank on the SERGU.

OK I have had my '11 SERGU (Sir Goo :) ) for only a couple of weeks now so my input is limited but... I am 6"4" ish and ~250# to give you an idea. I am running stock everything at the moment as well. I went on a 470 mile mountain road break in ride last weekend and 10 hours in the seat was just fine. As for the wind, I didn't notice it much at all but I do wear a full face as well. My head never got knocked around, shield open was not much of an issue either. My '03 Glide was better around town but does not even live in the same world as the '11 when you get out of town. I am planning another ride this weekend to get to the 1K service level and will be able to provide more feedback after that ride.

My overall impression is that the '11 SERGU ride is at least 200% better than my '07 FLTR. Even around the city, I like it better. I think your around town comment is probably based on the fact that the '11 SERGU is heavier. As far as the twisties or the open road, the '11 SERGU is simply AMAZING!

I have the 09SERG and ended up with a 14" Cee Bailey windshield and love it! Could not ride over 50 with stock wind deflector. IMO that was the worst part of this bike. 18k miles and still happy as a pig in chit! One on going problem is rubber molding on fairing between inner & outer starts walking out on hot days. Stealer replaced it on warranty and it is coming off again. I think I will ask them to get me another set of moldings and put them on myself with some sillycone! The adhesive the mo-co uses is sticky and soft and fluid in the hot summer sun! Coming from an 07 FLHX I totally love the ride of the SERG better. There is no comparison IMO!  Face

Love mine. Did change the pipe to full sac and it runs so much cooler. Looking for wind screen now. The stock dumps all the wind on my face (I am 6'2)

Rise is a thousand times better than my 07 ultra classic.

Your going to love it. I bought the Rio Red in September and have 4000+ miles. I installed the 4" Reinharts, Klock low profile windshield. Trying to decide is I want to swap cams and install the race tuner later this summer. I like a little more low end torque. I have no problems with the bike or paint. It is a sweet ride.

well went and picked up new bike yesterday...the dealer is closed on Sunday but they met me there to trade out bikes as i live 75 miles from them...put 100 miles on it solo riding.. comfy ride, dang this a heavy bike... love the IPOD hook up and the boom audio speakers sound good, windshield is ok but i want a tinted one, possibly a Clearview 13 inch ??, need to put on my 360 highway peg mounts, and probably get the tour pack relocate kit from George Anderson?? i thinks thats his name.. also ordered floorboard spacers from Harley Goodies ( i have put them on all my bikes)..i noticed some decel popping i guess i will get them to address that at at the 1000 mile service, they said they a mild tune on it now until the motor gets broke in....love the looks of the 4 inch Rinehart's, not as loud as the 3.5 i had on my 04 103, kind of miss that but it sounds good kind of a deeper sound, my friend bought a Silver one and his dealer just put the 3.5 on his didn't even tell him about the 4 inch...?? his does sound more like my old one i guess that 1/2 inch makes a lot of diff, but he has true dual Rineys.. i have the VH power header with Riney mufflers...looking forward to more riding when the weather warms up some, we lucked up yesterday...69 degrees...also thanks for all the input from everyone....look forward to reading ride/bike thoughts in the future... :drink:

Good lord, I thought I was having problems! I have a problem with my ipod locking up, the INT shows up on the radio screen even though it is not in Intercom mode (second radio). The right blinker locked up front and back, the cruise has began to just shutoff for no apparent reason and now the check engine light is on... I am also hearing a clunk or click in the front every now and then and also had my ignition switch replaced (locking up).

Edit: forgot about the clutch master cylinder that leaked, had a seal kit installed and then had to be replaced. Also, the radio was replaced but that was due to a snafu on the R&R (broken cd door).

Other than that, she's a breeze!  :huepfenlol2:

Nah, don't sweat it.  1. You only hear the bad stuff on here.  Rarely do the people that have no, or very few issues say anything. and 2. That's why you have a warranty.  Ride the bike, enjoy it, and IF you do have any problems, get it fixed.  No sense worrying.
