It was 80 degrees yesterday in the SF Bay Area, so Chris and Anne (the RidnRuby's) put together a ride through Marin and Sonoma counties. We headed over the Golden Gate Bridge to meet them for breakfast
-
Anne was outside to greet us when we arrived.
-
After eating, we headed towards the coast
-
And got to play in some twisties
-
and some real pretty roads
-
Passing several one room school houses in the little towns that we rode through
-
Got a little cool as we neared the coast (about 65)
-
Passed several neat little churches as well
-
.
-
The flowers are starting to bloom
-
.
-
We stopped for a quick stretch in one of the little towns along the coast
-
Of course Anne was taking pictures!
-
Roger showing off his new dental work!
-
And doing what he does best!
-
whats all that green stuff in the pictures
-
Then it was time for more riding.
-
And more cool little churches
-
We stopped in Occidental for lunch and to walk around the small town.
-
Ernie, I say this with the utmost respect. You're an evil bastard.

We had lunch on the patio of the Union Hotel

Occidental is a bit of a hippy town.
-
Getting ready to head back.
-
I'm sure that I'll catch chit for this, but it was definitely a sun screen kind of day!
-
Then it was more little towns on the way back
-
Anne doing her thing
-
San Francisco from across the bay
-
Following Roger and Melanie across the GG Bridge
-
Then more riding along the coast
-

I was thinking the same thing Neal, how nice it was to see green grass! I can see mine, but it looks more like straw than grass. Nice pictures, except the out house!

And a pit stop at Baker Beach. It looked like a weekend day in August there! Packed!

It was a great day and I want to thank Chris and Anne again for putting this together and leading. Another thanks goes to Roger and Melanie for being great company as usual!

Neal,
It's called grass! You have it as well, but yours is under 2-3 feet of snow and ice!
-
Ernie, I say this with the utmost respect. You're an evil bastard.
Nah, just trying to keep you guys entertained while you're stuck in the house.

Didn't bother watching it, too nice to be inside. Besides, I didn't care about either team.

Enjoyed your great ride pics because we also got to enjoy the weather in person. Carole and I decided on Sat at noon to ride to San Simeon and then back on Sun. Got home at 3:00 in time to see the S.B. The NorCal area turns beautifully green in our wet winter and then dries up to brown during our dry summer and fall. The green flowering meadows were gorgeous. Sundays weather was 20 degrees above normal, setting many new warm records that day.
To our snowed in friends, lets hope Punxsutawney Phil is correct and kick stands will be up for all by mid March. :cherry:

Awesome ride. Thanks for sharing all the pictures!!!!!! :orange: :orange: :orange:

Nice report Ernie...here is some of that chit you asked for
Maybe you should have used some of that sunscreen on your bike...might have stopped it from changing colors!!!

Don't you just hate when that happens! ;D

Enjoy seeing the newest addition to the back of Ernie's bike. Didn't notice the tour pack until Chris' comment. Was it the coppertone from the sixties that turned people orange? :2vrolijk_21:

I told andy that I was going to borrow 1 blue and 1 silver saddlebag so I could look like his avatar!

Looks like you had a nice ride.
Terrie and I took advantage of the warm weather on Sunday and went for a ride also......down to visit the grandkids. It was about the best weekend in Feb. that I can remember.
