If you change mufflers and cams you have to have a tuner to get the motor to run right.

I installed the 49 state HD slip-ons without a tuner and the bike runs great. If you are going to go with straight pipes , then I would have to agree on a tuner.

As soon as u can, u need to get your parts manual for your specific model, which in your case might have a supplemental parts manual that will tell u which cams are in your engine. Having a complete series of books with both parts and maintenance for your bike will provide u the most important reading u will be doing for awhile, especially if this is your first Harley!! Welcome from Idaho and enjoy the ride, don't take your dealers or anyone elses word for anything without using Google or whatever search engine u choose and research it yourself. :worthless:

To be perfectly honest, they are still a little quiet for my taste. I had the V+H 2 into 2 on my previous bike, and they were too loud. I will use them for the summer and see if they get a little louder. I believe the part # is 80495-07.

The stock cam in your bike is the SE255.
