I was home Friday night until 1400 when I flew out to Trondheim Norway for training.  Stopped in to the dealer on my way to the airport, not in then.  I get home late Thursday, and hope they will be there Friday.  They shipped already.

The truck usually arrives on Wednesdays unless there a lot of bikes then there will also be a truck Tuesday. Is yours going to KY first or is it coming directly to TN?

I am not sure, but my guess is the KY store.  That is ok, I have to see it in person to make sure the skunk is what I want.  If it does not grab me enough I will switch my deposit to the blue.  I do think the white is going to be great in the sun though.

Hopefully mine will be in by the time you get back. At least it will save you a trip to KY.

It's looking there could be a 2012.5 FLTRUSE2 as a mid year model. I'll probably trade in my 11 FLTRUSE if it has a color that pops.

I'll keep you updated on the bike. What time are you back Thursday?

Scheduled to land at McGhee at 5:15 pm on thursday.

If they have a 2013 FLTRXSE2 with a 120 I will trade for it.  I have a 100 year anniversary bike so a 110 anniversary would be nice to go with it.

I do hope your is in when I get home.  I want to see it so I know what to do, get the skunk or wait on a blue.

I do not believe that picture was taken at Smoky Mountain HD.

First, they have not delved on of those yet, nor have they received on yet.

Second That is not what the inside of Smoky Mountain HD looks like.

Third this picture is in another thread as being delivered at Southern Thunder.

Well, I had to sell my Crimson Mist CVO Ultra that was the best machine I have ever owned up to this point.  My previous bike was a shark nose and quite honestly, i prefer that to the batwing especially at 80-90mph.  I am in deep regret on having to sell my bike, but now I'm a little excited to get me a SKUNK!  I can't wait to black that sucker out, engine guards, floor boards, black Rinehart true duals....Keep an eye open please!  I already called the two locals here to see if they have one coming in.  I would like to see one up front and personal 1st before i order one?  I am a little skeptical on the paint, it almost looks as though there is a green metal flake in the graphics?  Either way.....I already changed my tag name to Pepe LePew!!!!

Here is a pic of my graphics. You can see the gold flames lightly painted in the black. It is complimented with the gold pinstripe between all white/black surfaces.

The flames are "dusted" into the black as opposed to being solid. I hope that makes sense. The  white paint has a goldish/green metal flake tint when the sun is on it. I love the colors on this bike. Even the engine matches with it's gloss black covers  :)

I thought it had a lot of sparkle.  More than the white flake paints used on other non-CVO's of past.  At some angles it appeared to have a yellow/gold tint to the white.

The Skunk has arrived. Pick it up at 12 today and heading to Trail of Tears ride. Put some miles on it this weekend and get the first service out of the way (then x-pipe, mufflers, cams and TTS tuner). Inner fairing has to be replaced ... paint defect. Took a pic of it waiting to get the PDI done and getting delivery of it.

Glad to hear your extensive wait is over; congratulations!  I know you will enjoy the bike.

I've had mine for two weeks.  Just got the 4" inch Rinehart slip-ons in black.  Seemed to pick up seat/pants hp just by adding the slip-ons and very pleased with the sound.  Low heavy rumble at idle, the bike sounds and runs as good as it looks.  Still going to do the X-pipe, tuner and black heat shields... just because...

Enjoy the ride!

The bike handles great. The handlebars are very comfortable. The seat sucks. Guess I'm spoiled after riding on the Hammock seat for the past year. I'll be going to see Vernon at Sports Drive in Vonore when I get back to get the seat re-worked. The power is pretty decent. It's going to be a rocket after all the mods.

I was curious about the seat, did not look to be a long haul seat.  What is he going to do to the seat?

What cams are you going with?  I have been thinking the Andrews 54G but not sure.

If I do have the seat modified I will have the gel pad added under the cover and have the back of the seat built up so it moves me forward an inch or two.
As far as the cams go I have the SE 259Es sitting on the work bench along with the x-pipe, 4" rineharts and the TTS tuner. There are almost identical to the SE 251s that I have in the SERGU and it dyno'd at 107HP and 121TQ.

I just did 500 miles, seat was fine.  But I still plan on getting it reworked with memory foam.  Love the seat's looks and not planning on replacing it, only going to make it better.

Thanks for the link. Cool idea. I've had the gel insert before on my 09 SERG but this looks like it would be better.

Those are nice numbers out of the SE251.

I may take a look at the 259E.  I wonder how it compares to the Andrews 54G

I figure if I do not like the seat, I will try a corbin solo with rider back rest.

Interesting.

Looks like it would be pretty good.  Do you know if he will shave half an inch of the existing foam before he installs the propad so seat hight stays the same?

He does cut out the current foam so the seat heighth stays the same. $210 for the front seat on the '12 SERG. Sounds reasonable if in fact it does make the seat more comfortable. If not, I'd rather put that money towards a new seat altogether.

I bought my skunk about three weeks ago.  I am totally blown away with this CVO.  Be sure to get the header pipe removed so the true sound and power of the 110 takes front and center. Once my tour pack comes in I will post a few pics....

Yep, I agree with Joe.

If I was there I would buy it right now!  I'm waiting, impatiently on one.

Hi,

I went and looked at it, they have another one coming in November, meanwhile they have a blue one scheduled to arrive in November.  I know I want to go back to a RG versus the Batwing, but i got to fall in love with it and I couldn't make the decision without seeing the blue one.  I think if I got the skunk, I would put black crash bars, black exhaust.....a lot of black period.  I think the color matched tour pack looks awesome too.  I'm gonna be patient considering the time of year and that i am in Michigan, one of the worst economies in the country?

I have the white and am going the black route, at least with the exhaust.  I love this bike.  Found that the black saddle bag covers look pretty good on the skunk too.

I saw the blue yesterday for the first time in person at dealer out here in Denver (they are always over MSRP, didn't ask how much).  The blue looks stunning in person, I was surprised, much better than photos.  You'll have a tough choice to make after you've seen both.  Smart to wait if you can stand it.... :wall:

Over MSRP?  My dealer will discount the bike $1,000.00 for me, but this will be my 5th bike from them, plus i have sent them a lot of business.  If i got the white one, i would definately go with black exhausts.  I had the lindy bars on my previous RG, they make them in black now so i would probably do that immediately too?  I think that will change the look.  One guy had a matched tour pak that really finished the bike off nice too.  My previous was the blacked out Crimson Mist Ultra...since then I really like the blacked out look, but i would never own another black bike...too hard to keep clean and chip free!

How's that stereo sound?  Says it's a 100watt amp, is this the same amp in the fairing like the street glide?  Must admit I do like that skunk...

Lowered boards are for your taller riders....  Probably drops the boards maybe an inch maybe an inch and half. I am 6 foot 5 1/2 and I need all room possible. Between the seat and boards I am much more comfortable on my RG.

Are the lowered boards from Harley ?
Could you please post a detail-pic of the mounting or a link where to get them ?

Lowered boards???? I am not sure but don't think there is such a thing from HD. Extended reach boards and controls maybe, but I don't think lowered.
This caught my eye because I custom built new brackets for the boards on my old 01 FLHT(lowered the boards 1.5 inches) and rode it 60k before buying my current FLHXSE2 .Also had to build a new brake pedal and roll the lever forward on the pivot and reweld it. Had the guys at EZ brake build me a nice one once I got the prototype like I wanted it.  On this bike I just removed the floorboard inserts, cut the rubber bubbles off slick , and then siliconed them back in place. That buys you 3/4 of an inch minimum and makes a lot of difference for a tall guy. I had to watch it on my old ride or you could drag the boards very easily and I am quite sure that is why HD doesn't offer them------------safety risk----------lawyers etc.
