trying to sell my king tour pak in the selling section...but, no takers as of yet...I think its a smokin deal...but I guess I'm the only one that thinks it...I am thinking about pull the trigger and having it painted to match my 11' CVO Street Glide in Black diamond with the crimson tags...painter wants $480 total to repaint the box..I think thats a steal...let me know what you guys think...this painter is tops....he paints for all the custom bike builders...Sinister and Yaffe and so on...here is there website if you wanted to see there work...let me know what you think on the price...$480 complete...

Sinthium Paints here in Phoenix....they do awesome work...had a few tour paks painted by them already...just vivid black...nothing fancy...and it came out like glass....

yes...there work is top of the line...otherwise they wouldn't get work from Sinister Ind. or Yaffe

I would keep it and have it painted. I did that for the tour-pak on my 09 CVO Roadglide it saved some $$.

Keep it and paint it, that is a good price. I keep a spare in the garage for my next bike.

l know I should keep it and the price to paint is a good one...just it's hard to justify having a beautiful tour pak like this and never use it...if anyone considers it now...let me know if your interested in it...thx to all replys...

I know what you're saying. I had a used Ultra tour pak painted to match my '04 police EG and it drove me nuts looking at $1,000 sitting in the garage because I never put it on the bike--I ride solo and preferred not having the tour pak on the bike.
I sold the tour pak, but then had the bike painted a beautiful candy apple red and bought another Ultra tour pak rationalizing the purchase using the "just in case" approach--may as well buy another Ultra tour pak to have it painted to match "just in case" I needed it in the future. Fortunately, I was able to buy a brand new '08 Ultra tour pak for $300 (seller had an insurance replacement and was anxious to sell the tour pak and saddlebags)--so it doesn't bother me so much to see it in the garage and it looks great on the bike when I make 3 or 4 long trips each year and use the darn thing.
You probably have the primered lid, and non-matching new tour pak bottom priced too high--hope you have a lot less in the parts than your asking price.
Alternatively, post it on hdforums.com and your may have better luck.

I'm asking $485 for the tour pak...I think it's priced right for someone that needs to have it color matched as I intended to do and be under a grand when done....new CVO tour paks discounted thru dealers are around $1,200 ...with a 4-6 weeks lead time...
