Title: Complete frame off rebuild of the Deuce
Post by: hoody on March 10, 2012, 12:04:05 PM
At 30K miles (and after riding the last build out a little too hard) it's time to "start over"
So I'm in the process of a total frame off rebuild. Pushing the engine out to a 117", Baker 6 Sp. reversed and a few more "fun things"

Yea I'm completly stoked over this. I've had mine for 7ys and 27K miles. I did a engine build up (108 hp 110 Tq) a few years back but this time it's all starting over...Going bigger, badder, faster, louder!!!
117"
Timpkin
58MM TB
stage 3 heads
wood 408-6 cam
Baker 6 sp (reversed)
new chrome (had a few bad areas)
reworked stock paint
and a few more fun things
this should be a rocket when done
I keep posting the updates should be back on the road by the end of the month....did I mention STOKED and ready! :bananarock:

Very cool! Should be a real Screamin' Eagle!

Since our SE Deuce is my wife's main ride, she's not quite as interested in performance as she is appearance (it's plenty powerful & fast for her). Spent the last few years modding the bike to where it's just about where she wants it.

As I said, I'll watch this thread with great interest!

This would be the “before” pic. I’ve always liked the look of this bike (no frills ready to roll, lean and mean) so I’m sticking with this look overall for now. Externally the only changes that can be seen are RB racing LSR 2 into 1’s, the AC, back rest and rack. What I’m looking to do is turn this into a torque monster, yet still very ride able. So far I’ve got re-chroming being done on the front wheel, kick stand bracket, all 3 brake calipers and a few other small pieces that needed to be re-done. All the tin’s were gone over, cleaned and repaired where needed (nasty chip in the tank, and scratches removed) some re-cleared. The engine and Trans mods are listed above, I’ll detail them all out as the rebuild process progresses.
