Help fellows ! 08 had stock head pipe with 2" Fulsac baffles and SE race tuner/ dynoed. It ran real cool ( almost no felt heat on legs). 12 has Fulsac ceramic x pipe (C model) ,2" Fulsac baffles SE race tuner/ dynoed for 8 hrs.... yep, 8hrs . Same tuner as 08 bike & he said he had he!! getting a decent tune.95 hp &108 torque. HE called the next day and said HD Dealer Services recommended different base map and retune. No Charge!!!! Redynoed and turned 96 hp & 108 torque. I told tuner I was'nt looking for numbers just rideability, and he understood. 1200 mi this long weeked and fried rt leg later i'm sick over trading. Rear head heat gunned @325 after stop ,kill, get off bike,and shoot. Ambient temp. 85 & bike goin into 1 cyl. parade mode. Long story short. Do i need a different head pipe/true duals or better tune/tuner(something besides SERT) ??? Not good with computers or comfortable installing TTS from Fulsac.

I have an 09 and have the Fulsac baffles and have a TTS mastertune and a map from Fulsac. Changed the head pipe to a catless pipe. I have very little noticeable heat. Only time bike goes into heat management is hot days in stopped traffic. Oil temp runs 200 to 230. If you still have a cat you gotta get rid of it. Cats are a source of extreme heat as that is what they do to destruct exhaust gasses.

First clue was the 8 hours your "tuner" worked on it the first time to achieve a not so great result. As I've noted many times around here, just because someone has a dyno and knows how to strap a bike to it and run it, it doesn't mean he's a tuner. Glad you found the root cause and got it corrected.
