Title: J&M Helmet Speakers Ohm?
Post by: RedEagle on April 05, 2012, 06:11:26 PM

Hello;
I want to replace my speakers on my stock Harley Headset that came with '10 SE5.  I see speakers that will fit on J&M site 55mm.

HSCP-DS12

HSCP-SS22

There is not information on them like what is the difference.
Anyone know if I can cut my speakers off and solder these guys on and be good to go?
Do I need to watch for impedance differences?
Anything else that I should know?

Thanks

They will all work and yes you can just cut the old ones out and solder the new ones in place. I have done it dozens of time for myself and friends who wanted to upgrade their Harley headsets. It is much less expensive then buying the entire headset and the sound is 100% better.

Thanks Jim

Do you know the difference between the two models they look so similar and the price is practically the same.

HSCP-DS12 - Enhanced Fidelity at $44.99

HSCP-SS22 - Wide Fidelity at $ 43.99

If one is better at Rock and or has better Bass that will be the one I select.

Thanks
