Hi gang,
Sorry I missed Maggie Valley and the rain. Here is a picture of me riding in the Peterson's 40th annual Poker Run. More to come I hope...
Maybe see some of you next year?

The B&B Chelsea Inn - 250 a night on 'high season' rates - they jack prices for the Poker run. Not too bad. Normally 200 (tax in). Place is very nice and typical for Key West. The island is a must visit place.
-
Decided to upload some more pictures, scenery to show the island itself. All taken during the Peterson's Harley 40th Annual Poker Run

Cool dip after a hot ride. It is 129 miles from the gateway to the keys to Key West. It is another 60 miles from Hallandale Beach where I started from.

More custom bikes. Harley dealer sponsored event. Phil Peterson, owner of Peterson's Harley in Miami and in Cutler Bay (Southernmost dealer) is 87 years young and still rides! His son rides a 2008 CVO Screamin' Eagle Springer Softail in anniversary colors. Nothing like a CVO Springer!

The best bike of all! My ride ready for a road trip!
Orange is the fastest color - incidentally, I did not see many springers at all.

Awesome pics - Was really cool to see some of the island.
Have a brother who lives in Orlando - One of his favorite rides is down to the Keys and back home over the weekend.
One day I'll do that ride myself.
Peace...

Here's a small video of the Poker Run on Youtube in case anyone's interested. It is noisy and pans too fast but hits home for the reality of this event. I can't send the heat through the net. Just get in your sauna and crank it up to 92Fwhile watching and you will get the picture:
