Well the 1st Breakout to arrive here and it's not mine... :(
But the owner is getting a few mods done before he fly's in to pick it up.
Main thing is the 14" apes and the V&H CR2-2.
The apes look good and are 1m wide :o . I got to sit on it and I dont think I would like it very much. Keeping in line with the rake the bars come back way to close to me to be comfortable.

Thanks for posting the pics Bretto. I was waiting for someone to post a few pics with the apes. My searches of the internet have turned up empty since the bike was released. I have mixed feelings on the look. In my case I would not keep them in line with the fork rake. They would have to go a bit forward due to my height and arm length.
I do like the way the V/H flow with the look/lines of the bike, however I feel that it will be the most prominent exhaust used and therefore I would go a different route just to show a little different look. Again, that is not to take away from V/H. Those pipes look damn good!

I feel the same. I still want the 14's but maybe 900mm wide instead of 1000mm and pushed forward as well.

Great pics! thanks for posting. Not a bad look, but IMO, the headlight area looks really bare when you add the apes.

Bretto, thanks for the pics. Really like the looks of the V&H pipes...changes the entire look of the Breakout and cleans up the rear so you can see the that beautiful wheel. Never been a fan of apes of any size on any bike...not my thing. But different strokes for different folks....
Still, I bet the new owner will be more than happy.

yes, very nice pics- I wouldn't mind going with 10" apes and pusched forward just a bit-was going to go that route with my 07 CVO springer, but then I got the Breakout. Going to try and manipulate the bars a bit to get them a little further back.

Thanks for taking the time to post the pics. Looks great!

Thanks for posting Bretto . It looks better than I thought it would , and I agree that they need rotating forward a bit .
Cheers :2vrolijk_21:

Looks awesome! Same thing I would do. You have those bars in the 2 oclock position. I'd put them forward to the 12 oclock position and that would look great!

man i think i may do that myself they look cool ,

Looks great, a completely different look, think it would look awsome with the bars off the 2012 Convertible, think the welded corners rather than bends would blend in with the bikes lines better! just my opinion, looks great anyway!

That's exactly what I wanted to do with my 2011 Convertible trade in. Unfortunately the swap out would cost way too much. I'd be better off buying a new mini Z bar and adding it later. I think it would look killer. I took off the Lindby guards that matched those bars and put 'em on my Breakout. It looks like it was made for the bike, don't you think? The bars would be the same way and fit me better.

can anyone tell me what diametre them apes are on the gold dust one in pic

Is the center piece on the stock bars 1" or 1.25"?

I agree, it looks awsome, i have ordered the Lindby for my Convertible, as you say they match my bars perfectly!
