I put the curved license plate frame on my bike today - quite happy with it. For anyone who may be interested the Deluxe curved frame will NOT fit, even thought the parts catalogue says it does. I ordered the touring frame (part number 67900056) and it fit!

I like the Ride Safe on the bottom of your plate. Is that on all in your state plates, or an option to have on it?

All the Maine MC plates have that on - kind of cool I thought.

If you get a VETERAN plate, it does not have "ride safe" on it….

A question please...I see two curved plates available from HD...the 67900056 shown above, and a 67900008. Anyone know if only the -56 plate fits the '14 FLSTNSE, or do both?
EDIT: Bought the 67900008 and installed it on my '14 FLSTNSE...fits perfectly with no mods and retains the factory reflector above the plate, plus adds a second stick-on below the plate for better visibility.

Basically it's: Tape the fender prior to prevent scratching. Remove the two 1/2" head bolts holding the turn signals to the rear fender. It's a tight fit w/a 1/4" drive. If needed more hand room lift the rear fender to extend the wheel or deflate tire, but I didn't as I had installed the shorter rear shocks previously (=more frame height) so had hand room.
Then remove the POS plastic factory frame from the turn signal assembly (two T-27 Torx screws), and replace that with the curved frame with the electrical wires pulled out some from the fender to gain access. Reinstall the turn signal-frame base to the fender. Install the License plate before or after the replacement. I put the included foam pad under the frame between it and the fender to prevent movement, and stuck the included red reflector below the frame on the fender.
HD had cross threaded one of my 1/2" head bolts and gooped some red Loctite into the hole to hold the fastener. I chased the threads with a tap and all was well. The angle of the bolts through the fender into the signal frame is critical. Pay attention. HD didn't. Might have been close to Beer Friday at the factory.
