So I'm thinking of selling my abyss blue/blue pearl springer. From my research I found that there were 2558 cvo springers produced in 07 and only 991 in blue. My bike has only 4,490 miles and is in mint condition. I did a NADA check for my area in Ohio and average retail was $17,727 with no option to add value for low miles or all the accessories which is probably another $5000 or so. I am also the original owner, have all the stock parts, cover, gold key etc. I did a search for other 07's for sale and they were asking $18,000 with double or triple the miles. I'm thinking of asking $21,000. Am I crazy? Should I ask more or less? What do you think is the collectability of springers now? Thanks for your input and any advice in advance!

What it's worth and what it will actually bring is one of those "shot in the dark" deals. Checking with my finance buddy and a local dealer this morning, you are right in the ballpark on asking $21K (or more...his words, not mine...). IMO, the blue on that springer is one of the best colors produced for a CVO....and I always buy the red ones.... :nixweiss:
Sent you a PM. Posting some additional recent pics (or a link to existing pics on the site) would be nice. You have your reasons for selling but what a beauty to let go....

Thanks Haird. I will post a few pic's!

Here's another!

I will also try and get a few more pic's. The S&S air cleaner I'm keeping for another project and putting the stock cover back on. The reason I'm selling is 10 years ago I was dx with lung cancer and since than it has come back a few times. It is in remission but I developed a slight balance disorder from the chemo therapy. I'm currently working on getting a trike and just couldn't cut this baby up to convert it. Hope that help's and if you have any other questions please feel free to ask.

I went back and read your first posting in the new members board, saw the sentence about the lung cancer. Prayers to you as you continue to struggle with this. I can understand not wanting to turn this two wheeler into a three wheeler. Lord be with you in your search for a new ride and recovery from the cancer...

Same bike for sale at Dillon Brothers Harley in Fremont Ne. with just under 8,000 miles on it. They are asking $17,900 for a starting price (price includes new tires and service)

Thanks again! It's amazing how fast the time goes by! Also thanks ffltjeff for the info on the bike at Dillon. That's a real good comparison and helps me justify asking more money for mine.

Mate , if I were you I would be converting to a trike. Better the " devil you know "
It would be a " show winner " and probably unique to boot. Some of the trike builds do not require any permanent changes to the donor frame etc . I'm thinking Lehman here i think
One of my older riding mates here in Perth Western Australia has just converted his 2008 Anniversary Dyna lowrider to a Lehman trike kit , and it's 100% "reversible" we do believe (HE'S JUST TURNED 83 !! ).
As to the value of your bike , I bought a one owner 2008 6,300 mile CVO Springer FXSTSSE2 in central Texas over 18 months ago for $18K USD and brought it to Australia. They are even cheaper on ebay and craigslist today . Sorry to say that mate.
All the best from Australia for your health mate , and all the best with your decisions whichever way you go.

Hi StrahDawg,
I am glad to see you are in remission and hope you shake off that terrible disease for good.
You have a beautiful Springer there!! I am thinking of buying one myself in that colour. Would love to see a few more pics of your Springer if you have a few to show .
Best regards,
Aussie..
