I don't think it is that easy as Dealers in Australia have taken non-refundable deposits. Surely it would be easy to sell privately if it has less than 50kms on the clock (Dealer to home).

He will get his money back as every dealer have a list of names just waiting to jump at getting one. Non-refundable BS! Nothing along those lines were mentioned to me when buying mine.

The dealer should let him move on with no penalty. They should have a "list" of waiting punters if the hype is true !!

Taking delivery and trying to sell on ?

He'll take a bath on that.

Who would want to pay stamp duty on top of his "private" sale price ?

As for the "grey import" Breakouts from the " entrepreneurs" , who would pay $2K more for  NO WARRANTY ??

Last time I wanted to find out info regarding CVO's in OZ I called Harley Australia, and a mighty fine, switched on chicky babe cranked up her puta and was more than willing to let me know all the guff.

What she didn't already know she searched for and was really good with the results.

I bought an "Aussie " from new 2013 CVO Breakout today , here in Perth Western Australia

Black Diamond and Molten Silver , a nice one owner bike , guy in his 50's ( are'nt we all ?)

4300 k's , cams and high comp' pistons , Freedom Declaration turnouts exhaust and a supertuner

Several places in the east have "greys" on the floor , which helped to set the price I just paid

They have for sure depressed the price of "Aussie" bikes , as I have seen 2 sell for mid/high 30's

That's just in the last 2 weeks

I don't think there will be another Breakout.....I was under the impression that the only real reason to make the Breakout was because of a lot of leftover Rocker parts.

     I think that if they had a lot of leftover rocker parts they would have built a another batch of rockers

I have now seen several "grey imports" of CVO Breakouts here in Perth Western Australia

One guy had paid $28K USD for a Black/"Silver" 2013 with 175 miles ( one hundred and seventy five !)

At recent current exchange rates , that will have been an awfully exxy bike once shipped , currency converted , duty paid,complied etc etc

Apparently some grief involved to get the front and rear indicators " Australian compliant"

The "entrepreneurs" in the east are still trying to get $41 K+ Australian for their grey imported CVO Breakouts and some have been for sale well over 6 months !!
